   Extremely easy to book on OpenTable, only gave an hours notice! Service was very prompt and the food took 10 minutes and was absolutely delicious! Will definitely be visiting again!

   Excellent dinner, right on the ocean with a beautiful view. Service was quick and the server was very attentive.

   Lovely experience at Castaways. Beautiful setting on the ocean. Beautiful location and restaurant. Food was good. We enjoyed the appetizers- hummus and bread basket..the dinners were good. Tacos were ok, needed a bit more flavor but overall we had a great experience. Our server was wonderful! Would definitely go again!

   Started off really well with drinks and starters but then waited over an hour for our mains. Had to get up 3 times to find staff to ask for water and find out where our food was. Each time the staff were glued to their mobile phones. We did get a free drink to compensate though.

   Dinner was very good and we had great service. My fish was a bit over cooked for my liking. The rum punch was delicious and the ambience was nice.

   We have been coming to Barbados for five years now, and every year we try to get a reservation at the Castaways because we heard it was exquisite!  We finally got in and I am sad to say it was a disappointment.  Although the decor is absolutely charming the food and service were not quite up to par .I ordered the grilled chicken which came out cold and reheated. It was so dry, I was choking trying to get it down. My husband ordered the kingfish. He also stated that his was overcooked and dry. When I brought the chicken up to the waitress, she said she would let the chef know ,at the end of the meal she came back, took away my plate, which I did not touch after a few bites and told me the chef feels really bad about my dish! But not bad enough to take it off my bill! I’m not a good cook, but my chicken  is better than that one! I’m sad that we wasted one of our nights at this restaurant. I’m sure there are so many more out there that are much better than this. To give this place credit it’s very charming and I’m sure it would be a perfect spot for an afternoon cocktail! Needless to say, we will not be returning .

    Castaways is an absolute gem of a restaurant. From the moment we sat down, our server was warm, welcoming, and genuinely attentive—offering perhaps the most extraordinary customer service we experienced during our time on the island. The food was exceptional, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor, but what truly set this evening apart was the atmosphere and the professionalism of the team. It’s clear that the staff here are not only well-trained but truly motivated to provide a memorable dining experience—something that was noticeably lacking in several other establishments. Thanks to our incredible servers, this was a night we won’t forget. Castaways sets the standard and proves that hospitality still matters.
