About this restaurant

We come from a small desert town in southern Oaxaca where we grew up farming, caring for livestock, and selling at the colorful daily markets in the towns surrounding our home. Our mother was an expert cook and passed along not only her recipes and creativity but respect for the best ingredients available. Our Father has always had his own small Plalenque (Distillery) and produced the same Mezcales that have been made in his family for generations. One by one we settled in the NYC area, working in restaurants, bars, bakeries etc. After 25 years of working and saving we’re opening Casa Azul. Here we hope to carry on our parents passions of the best of creative Oaxacan cuisine and unique Mezcales. We hope you enjoy both as much as we are proud to bring it to you. Salud!

Food was great as always, fancy cocktails were beyond, service was outstanding. Extremely loud table next to us, but we were outside so what can you do?

Delicious food. Highly recommend trying something with the mole sauce. I had the Pollo Rostizado and my partner had the Enchiladas - both were great. Also loved the Mezcal Margaritas.

Great neighborhood spot with reasonable priced and delicious Oaxacan cuisine. Excellent service and lovely cocktails. Don’t hesitate to visit if you’re in Park Slope!
