   Impeccable service, great food, fantastic setting right on the coast. Price is not for the bashful, but a great special occasion venue.

   We enjoyed dining here. The tomato and mozzarella salad was great, halibut and filet were also quite good. The cheesecake was great, too. The service was excellent. The food was all very good. We did find the kid’s menu to be overpriced at $25 per entree, without even a drink or dessert included.

We priced the children menu about half of our regular menu because we are not differentiate neither in portion or quality. We use exactly the same ingredients and preparation.    We waited three long months for Caruso's to reopen. It was well worth the wait. I didn't think they could improve, because it was already the best restaurant in Santa Barbara, but our meal Saturday night was the best we've ever had there. From the moment we sat down everything was fabulous. The ambiance (what restaurant can beat being right on the beach?). The service was impeccable. And the food was incredible. But the dessert, which is usually the only negative I've ever given the restaurant was the best course of the meal. When you go, do yourself a favor, and order the shortbread strawberry tart. Indescribably delicious. The strawberries were celestial.

   Great location; food was OK but not so awesome you want to come back right away for it; lamb ragu and filet mignon were the best things we tried :)

   Best experience ever....Cocktails are way too expensive and very small with tons of ice...but the pasta was fantastic....Oysters were beautifully done....GO Miramar!!!

   Our server Danny was exceptional. We have spent four nights at the Miramar and have enjoyed all of them but tonight was the best. The menu presentation of food was worthy of a Michelin star and we cannot wait to return.

   Disappointed. Food was very good but not worth the price. Worst was the bleeding through of the ego of "Chef". The long story of "Chef" (yes that's how the staff referred to him) was given to us even though it was clear we weren't interested his entire life's story. We asked for some bread and were told it comes when the menus are taken and that you must order everything you want at the same time. What? For over $100 per person bring the bread when we want it! Ego instead of customer service --not a good thing.
