   Sadly there was clearly a problem the evening we went. The slow cooked beef was very tough and could not have been cooked for 48 hours as was described. The positive is that when we complained the staff were incredibly understanding. They apologised saying they had staffing issues that night and rebated us the cost of the beef course........it seemed odd that when we were there the restaurant was virtually empty and yet they turned away people who did not have a booking, perhaps confirming their staffing issue. We would have preferred to have had a great meal rather than the rebate, but at least they tried to make it right.

   We were looking for a nice restaurant to celebrate a birthday and couldn’t have chosen better. Everything from the decor to the attentiveness of the staff was outstanding. I was dubious as the location is close to the train station but I couldn’t have been more wrong. Everything about this restaurant is high class. The food was amazing, the staff explained everything on the menu and the kitchen was open so you could see everything being freshly prepared. They even went out of their way to wish my friend a happy birthday and put a candle in her desert. I strongly recommend this restaurant if you are looking for something special whilst in Amsterdam. Prices were very reasonable too.

   Superficially OK, but less so in the detail of service, respect for customers and atmosphere. Wouldn't go again.

   This was absolutely phenomenal and hands down our favorite meal in Amsterdam! We did the 4 course chefs tasting with wine pairing and it was so divine. It was too bad we did this for dinner on our first night because our expectation of Amsterdam food was so high but not a single restaurant came even close to this. I highly recommend!!!

   This place was absolutely amazing. The food and drink was top-notch. The service was also exceptional. They explained several different menu options in English so I could understand what they were. I would come back in a heartbeat. This is a must-visit place when visiting Amsterdam!

    The food and service was spectacular! One of the best meals over our 2 week trip. My husband will be talking about the shrimp cocktail for weeks because it was amazing. Highly recommend!
