   Had a reservation for 7:30pm on Valentine’s Day. For some reason they couldn’t accept my reservation. The major issue I had was the hostess stating that they could seat us if we could be out in an hour in front of the entire waiting area. We were both embarrassed and promptly left and went elsewhere. Historically we’ve had great experiences at Cantwell’s for brunch but this case was unacceptable.

   I must say i enjoy the brunch here more than dinner. That said, we had a lovely meal; I had the Cantwell version of a BIG MA with fries and a pickle. Others had salmon and other burgers. Dessert was delicious.

   Never had a bad experience at Cantwell’s. The food & service has always been good. I would recommend all my friends & family to go there.

   Food is good. Prices are okay— especially burgers. Entrees are good. Beer and wine selection nice. Takes forever to get anything. Food or drink. Dinner took 2 hours.

   Took my mom for her 62nd Birthday. She has told me several times what a wonderful time she had and the food was great!

   We enjoy Cantwell's - we go often in the late afternoon as the place is quiet(er) . The food is good but the menu is limited and doesn't change as much as it should. The wait staff is largely young and pleasant; the reception area and staffing is probably the least attractive aspect of the Cantwell's experience as it is often abandoned or staffed by a young woman who has absolutely no clue about customer service (not rude, just 'unconscious').

   Outstanding meals. Very creative. It was Tapas night and there were 4 items to chose from. My wife opted for pan seared scallops which would have been a good option for Tapas,. I had the pork tenderloin on sweet potatoe mashers and greens. Very well done. Save room for desert. Ordered the French toast bread pudding. Fabulous. Sat near the active fire place (gas vs wood logs). Nicely decorated for the holidays.

   Jack provided us with outstanding service, food was fantastic and we enjoyed our visit at CantwellTavern and we will be back shortly.
