Soupy mashed potatoes. Other than that the food was great.

This was our first visit to Campo Sparks. Overall it was good, particularly the food. The service was fine until the end of the meal. Our server asked if we wanted dessert before we were done eating. She also cleared the plates, including mine which I was still working on, while one of our party was still eating. She even brought the check before he was finished. I may have wanted dessert or coffee, but feel it would have been impolite to order before everyone at the table finished their meals. This was a Saturday lunchtime so it wasn’t even as if people were waiting for tables. I live in Europe where one is never rushed, so maybe I am being overly critical, but it bothered me, and makes it unlikely that I’d go to Campo again.

Dirty water glasses. Waited forever to have our order taken. Never saw server again. Had to hunt down someone for our check.

We have been to Campo Sparks several times over the past couple of years. Each time, I keep hoping that it will be a better experience. However, I remain disappointed. Each time, it’s nothing horrendous, but just enough to make you wish that you had gone elsewhere. This time, we recommended Campo Sparks to friends for dinner. It was interesting that both we – and they-checked on the website for the menu to do a little advance preparation for ordering. Both of us realize, however, that the actual menu once we got to the restaurant was a bit different. No big deal. After we ordered, our friend received a cup of minestrone soup which was just lukewarm. He tried to hail a server-ours was missing in action, although she had been very attentive in the beginning - to tell her about the soup. He finally succeeded in getting someone’s attention, who brought him another cup of soup –but it, also, was just warm – not hot. When it last art server return to our table, she promptly got him a cup of hot soup. For six dollars, however, we were both disappointed in the serving size (I ordered a cup of the same soup for myself) even though my soup, when delivered, was actually hot as it should be. I ended up ordering several different things off the menu – although the spaghetti immediately caught my attention. I didn’t order it, because, once you completed the dish with meatballs, it was $20 - A bit high for spaghetti and meatballs, anywhere outside of Wolfgang Puck‘s. Every time we have arrived at the restaurant-including the first time we went there, when the host told us that they had no record of our reservation-even though my wife had confirmed that same day-the host at the front has been less than energetic and cheerful. This may be our last visit.

I want to start by saying we love the Campo in Reno and have been going there for years. However that was not our experience at the barks Campo Food was not all bad, it actually had some bright spots. However the service was abysmal. On a Saturday night the restaurant was nearly empty but nearly every aspect of the meal took significantly longer than it should have. The worst part was the 20 plus minutes for desert that resulted in our canceling of the desert just so we can get out of the restaurant. We should have realized that it was empty on a Saturday night for a reason all. There were multiple tables around us that were also complaining about the service and/or poor food quality. I would recommend avoiding this place but honestly I can't imagine it's going to be open all that much longer.

Our waitress I think Bree was Great!!! I slipped in to tell someone it was my daughters birthday and the wait staff were gathered in what appeared to be a meeting. I spoke with a hostess at the entrance who acted excited and I asked her to tell our waitress thinking they would do something. It was never acknowledged!! And it was disappointing!! We went there to celebrate her!! We ate outside and it was very nice!! The busboys were awesome!

Great food, farm to table, at decent prices. My dad got the chicken Parmesan and it was a huge plate, my son got the fettuccini Alfredo and he loved it, my mom got the trio appetizer and it was enough food for her, the rest of us got the campo burger cooked to perfection. Service has really improved at this location and my husband got a free des7for his birthday.

Unfortunately it was the worst dining disappointment I have ever had. I have always enjoined the downtown location and thought the Sparks location would be similar. However, even with a reservation, we waiting over 10 minutes for our table. 4 out of 7 of our party waited an hour and a half for their food. Thank goodness my diabetic mother got her dinner! The rest of us waited over 2 hours. When we got up to leave they said it was ready and they would box it for us. That took another 10 minutes. They charged us for all of the food only taking off 10% of the bill! That is NOT the way to take care of customers!
