We were a party of four, and it was a first visit for all of us.
First of all, it is a very pretty restaurant; it had a very nice, comfortable, contemporary feeling.
We ordered two appetizers to share, the beef carpaccio and the fried calamari. The carpaccio
was excellent, but the calamari was severely overcooked. Surprisingly for such a simple dish, but that was the only disappointment of the evening.
The entrees ordered included the squid ink pasta, the short rib agnolotti pasta, and chicken parmesan, and everyone was very pleased.
The drinks were good, and the wine selection was nice, with a very good selection from Italy.
We had the Montefalco Sagrantino, and it was very nice.
We finished off the evening with Amarto and shared the salted caramel budino, which was great.
Our server, Tristan, who had told us that he was in his first week at the restaurant, but we would have never known. He was great, with enough attention paid to us, without being over-bearing. All said, it was a very nice evening, and we will be back soon.
