   Outstanding service. Donna was very attentive, knowledge of food/specials and wine list excellent. The Manager Tomas checked on tables several times making certain everything was perfect for all diners, he told our party if we needed anything please let him know. It's refreshing to see the Manager going table to table. All the staff are willing to help anyway they can to be certain your visit is as perfect as possible. Keep up the very excellent service Cal's, we will return often. Thank you Tomas ans Staff.

   we love this restaurant so much that we go at least once a month! We always go back because of how wonderful the food is and how great the service is!

   I made a reservation for a Friday evening for a party of 5 at 7:00 p.m. We arrived and waited less than 5 minutes for our "table'. We were directed to a booth which should have been only for a party of 4, but an added chair was brought over for the 5th person. Needless to say, dinner was very cramped, not too comfortable for all of us but the service and food were very good.

   The food was very good, but disappointed in the serving size. I have been to Abbigails/Simsbury, and hands-down better by far. Although the food was good (I ordered scallops) there were only 4 medium sized scallops, and they arrived on the skimpiest bed of risotto that you could imagine. Also, there was some type of vegetable on the top, but it was so miniscule that, to be quite honest, could not be categorized as a vegetable. Hands-down would go back to Abbigails, Cal's is a big question mark on whether I would spend the money.

   We have eaten here many times and we have always been pleased, We had a reservation for Sunday night, good thing because it was very busy, we were seated in an area where we never have been before it was to the side and in the front of the restaurant, right next to the stairway. Not the best area, but we were happy that at least they were able to accommodate us. Our waitress was friendly and helpful. Our meals were wonderful, We will definitely return.

   Seating was poor. Small table, no salt or pepper on the table - over crowded - table was at the top of the stairs, not very romantic for that dinner with that special someone. Food was excellent - Service was also excellent. Would go back on a regular evening non holiday

   My children took me out for my birthday dinner. Cal's is a terrific place! Food, ambience and service were great! Can't wait to go back!

    We decided to try Cal's having heard decent reviews. The parking lot could have used another 20-30 spots as we ended up parking down the street. The restaurant itself was packed on a Friday night and was definitely louder than normal. Drinks took awhile, but were good- 1 beer and a blueberry pomegranate martini. We had excellent oysters and the risotto fritters. While the fritters had a nice crunch to them, they lacked in flavor. Second course was butternut squash soup that was good and a chicken Alfredo dish that was very good. Overall, an average experience but would try again for lunch or Sunday brunch.
