Food was very tasty, especially the ceviche and the chicken service was quite slow

The remodel is spacious and attractive. The pisco sour and the lamb stew with beans were both pretty good. We also shared two appetizers, the leche de tigre and scallops, which we would give mixed reviews. The leche de tigre was tangy and tasty, while the scallop dish was very soupy -more like a milky-cheesy clam chowder, with tiny bay scallops. The kitchen needs some work during this shakedown period. However, it was difficult to enjoy the dinner because of the terrible live music playing. The sound system was so loud that we could not hear each other (and our table was pretty far away from the musicians, if you can call them that). The music was terrible - screeching string instruments and off-key guitar playing that seemed to be accompanied by tapes from the original (often tacky) songs. This was an amateur hour music production, and it was enough to make us avoid a return.

We just returned from a trip to Peru and were craving authentic Peruvian food—this little gem in Los Altos did not disappoint! The flavors transported us right back, especially the Ceviche, just as we experienced in Peru. The fresh fish, the big corn, the crispy cancha, and the perfectly balanced Leche de Tigre sauce were spot on. Our Pisco Sours were equally authentic, capturing the perfect balance of citrus, sweetness, and that signature foamy top. Every bite and sip felt like a delicious trip back to Peru. This place is a must-visit if you're looking for truly authentic Peruvian cuisine!

This was our first time at Callao. Our waiter seated us, noted that the restaurant was chilly, and offered us blankets! That set the tone for a cosy and delicious lunch. After asking for and receiving recommendations, we chose the ceviche clásico and the causa de pollo as appetizers. The ceviche was citrus-y without overwhelming the taste of the fish or the surrounding vegetables. The causa was just straight-up delicious. We'd order both again except that we must try everything else on the menu on future visits! We shared the carapulchra de credo. The pork was cooked to perfection and the stew was delightfully flavorful and filled with veg. That's another that we'd order again... except that (again) we must try everything else on the menu on future visits. We will be back!

Wonderful Peruvian dining. Be sure to book an early table otherwise the kitchen can get backed up as the evening goes on!

We made a reservation but the place was pretty empty. The first round of food took a while to get there but once it came, everything was delicious. It’s a nice spot, too, with a good vibe for families but also could be a nice date spot. We went with another family of four, so eight total, and everything came in (with tip) under $500. I’ll come here again!
