   Consistently delicious five cheese pizza with tomato and basil. The bread was very fresh yesterday too, both the table bread and toast with the yummy street corn appetizer

   Priority seating doesn’t mean anything. We still waited and the restaurant didn’t know about it. They are severely understaffed.

   It was my 7 year olds birthday and she loves CPK. My wife, mother in law and I took my daughter to the Tarzana, ca location. This location fails every single time. We do curb side pick up a lot and they tell you 15 minutes or something like that and you get there in 15 and sit outside for 30 minutes. It’s happened many times to us. This time the service was slow, when they brought out my daughters hot fudge Sunday as her birthday surprise it was all frozen. Even the hot fudge. The manager said she would make us a new one and that one came out the same way; ok maybe the hot fudge was a tiny but warmer. I wanted a second drink and told the waiter. It never came. At the end of our meal I asked him and he said he would get it for me. I told him I ordered it 30 minutes ago and he said he was busy and forgot! The busy excuse is the same we get when curb side service keeps us waiting for 30 minutes. I ordered the 1/2 veggie salad with chicken. Did the world run out of chicken. It was literally 2-3 oz of chicken breast. So cheap! If it wasn’t my daughter’s favorite restaurant, I’d never go again. We usually order from here at least once a month. I’m hoping to persuade my daughter to pick a new favorite restaurant.

   This restaurant is usually very good, but lacks adequate parking. There were many empty tables inside as it was 1:30-2:30pm, yet it took us nearly 10 minutes to find parking. I can't imagine what it is like when it's crowded. The food and the drinks, both very good.

   Apparently they do not use Open Table. They have a call-ahead system, which we have been using, but they are listed in the Open Table app.

   Deafening noise level. Waitress blew my order. Only brought the side, not the entree. More than an "oh, you wanted that?" would have been appreciated. My son refused to eat until my good finally arrived... by which point his dish was of course cold. This should have been handled much better than it was. Not exactly a 5-star experience.

   California Pizza Kitchen has always been a favorite. On this particular occasion there were four of us, not the usual two. So we tried the "Priority Seating" which CPK offers. Not exactly a reservation, but placed high on the list to minimize the wait time for a great restaurant much in demand. And because we were coming at 8:00 - heart of the evening - it seemed even more important to do something about securing a table. To our surprise, we were seated almost immediately. It was great! The evening with our friends was fun. The food was fabulous! And our server took care of us sufficiently without interrupting our table talk. Enjoyed totally!
