Welcome to Caffe Torino in the Foothills. We opened this restaurant in June 2013 as the sister restaurant of Caffe Torino in Oro Valley. We are a family owned and run restaurant that serves Northern Italian cuisine in a modern and upscale atmosphere. The modern and airy dining room, the bar that opens up to the enclosed patio and the spacious courtyard are all perfect spots to enjoy our offerings that have been in the family for generations.

Service very good and good ambience. Three persons enjoyed their past dishes. One person had halibut special and it was badly overcooked and dry.

We went to the wrong restaurant. Apparently their are two Cafe Torinos in and around the Tucson Foothills area. We went to the one we always go to at Lambert and La Canada and they didn't have our reservation. Good reason, I had signed up for the wrong restaurant. Anyhow, they were very gracious and gave us a nice booth. The dinner was very nice and as a special surprise we ordered 15 year Pappy VanWinkle. rf

I have been to Caffe Torino several times, and enjoyed it, but this last visit was disappointing. The veal marsala that my boyfriend ordered was dry and overcooked, and the risotto that came with my meal was gluey and the mushrooms rubbery. The chocolate pecan pie was dry, crumbly, not very chocolately, and the pecans and crust were soggy. Service declined steadily as more tables filled up. The music was unnecessary, inappropriate for the venue, and too loud. Not an experience I would care to repeat any time soon.

Good food, good sevice. Be careful to ask if there is going to be live music the night you book. Restaurant is small and music can be LOUD.

This was our first time here and we were very impressed. This establishment is very intimate and you can tell that it is family run. We came on a Saturday night and they had live entertainment that blended in very well, not too loud or distracting. The overall service is at a slower pace, which I really appreciated, as we were not rushed and we could enjoy our meal. Felt like a trattoria in Italy. Food was outstanding and our waiter very efficient. I had chosen a dessert that he recommended, but he came back to apologize and told me that they were out of that particular dessert. He recommended an alternative, which was really good and was gracious enough to compensate me for the inconvenience. Nicely done!
