   We ate dinner at Louie Bossi next door with another couple. We decided to have coffee & dessert at Caffe Europa. They seated us and within minutes, a server came to our table and insisted we had to leave. He said "you can't sit at our table with a Louie Bossi take-home box". We had our leftovers in a small 4x6 box that had an "LB" decal on the box, holding it closed. Rather than offer to give us a bag to "hide" the "LB" or perhaps refrigerate it for us until we were done, he insisted we leave. The other couple that was with us, was a long-time customer of Caffe Europa and suggested that we go there. They too were appalled at how we were all treated. I had met the owner before we were seated so I approached her about our rude treatment. She said I must be mistaken; that her staff would never do that. At that exact moment, the server approached and restated his demand that we leave as he didn't want us "advertising for another restaurant". I explained how absurd that was, to no avail. We left without being served. Both couples decided that we would never go back. Their smug, rude attitude towards patrons and jealousy towards their competitors shows why they had empty tables and Louie Bossi had a 1 hour minimum wait for a table!
