   Great little restaurant on beautiful Harbor Town! Nice outside seating area conducive for enjoying the outdoors and good people watching. The egg scrambles were of ample size and tasty!

   We visited Memphis last weekend and made reservations for breakfast on OpenTable. After receiving my confirmation, we left our hotel and headed to the restaurant only to find that we, amongst others, were not the only ones who made reservations on OpenTable only to find that it was closed. We were certainly looking forward to breakfast hear but instead had to settle on feeling like we inconvenienced the staff at Tugs. While this is certainly a first-world inconvenience, my intention is to hopefully bring awareness to the managerial staff of Eclectic to properly communicate to the third-party apps/systems in place so that others are not inconvenienced like we were in the future as things come up preventing service. Overall, I am sure its a great spot to eat, but we will never know.

   We made reservations for four persons at 9:15 for brunch on Sunday. (They open at 9:00). We arrived shortly after 9:00 and were the second customers there. Drink order was taken quickly and our food order was placed when the drinks arrived. 30 minutes after we arrived we were told they were out of brioche French toast, which was one of our orders. They offered to substitute French toast. 15 minutes later (45 min after we were seated) our food arrived after other tables seated after us were served. Most food was lukewarm at best, one meal was not right at all and one meal was missing the regular French toast. Water and maple syrup refills were few and far between. All in all it was a very disappointing experience and I cannot recommend this restaurant.

   Hi Jennifer, I am so sry that you had such a poor experience. There is no excuse for 1 star food quality, service, and value. I do hope a manager came and spoke to you in order to take care of your meal in the form of a discount, comp, or gift card. We, like many restaurants have been struggling with staffing and have suffered greatly as a result.    This restaurant is an absolute no. We bought an omelet with biscuits, the hashbrowns and the French toast. Everything we received was lukewarm at best. The biscuits were cold, the hashbrowns were overdone and the vegetables inside it were hardly cooked and flavorless. Not sure if this is a COVID precaution but all plates were styrofoam with wooden flimsy silverware. ~ I have never written an online review but this places food was not appetizing in the least.

   Not crowded, yet service was poor. We were seated where a man had spilled a bottle of syrup. We had to ask for napkins to cover the sticky spot. Otherwise, they just seated us knowing the puddle was there. Then, a waitress informed us 3x she was not our server, but ended up helping as the other waitress couldn’t. There were maybe 5 tables there. No champagne (no problem went next door), no OJ (had to go back). We had to flag down someone to bring cups after they knew we went to buy a bottle and sat for a while as it warmed. You could have visited a 7-11 and prepared the lunch if a microwave was available.

   Wow, what a terrible experience. I apologize and hope that your meal was taken care of. I know there is no excuse for 1 star service but we have been struggling with being understaffed these past couple of weeks and hope this will be remedied shortly.    Nice place to eat in Harbortown. The new location is roomier than their previous location but not as quaint / homey feeling. We love the variety of their menu as well.

    Delicious brunch and coffee. Friendly waitstaff. Easy parking. We will go back next time we are in Memphis.
