   Food was excellent, service was fabulous. The ambiance inside was perfect for being so close to the beach. The fresh pasta was superb. 10/10 would highly recommend!

   Service was better than a Michelin star restaurant, from host to the manager Omar! The portion and price was reasonable and wait time was perfect between appetizer and entrees. Would definitely come back .

   This was our third time at Buona Forchetta and it just gets better every time! Definitely try their specials! The gnocchi special was incredible and their pizza dough is the perfect balance of salt and chewiness! All the staff are so friendly and attentive! A fun atmosphere with lots of energy! This is becoming our family favorite! 🇮🇹

   First time at this location, have dined San Diego-balboa multiple times. Service needs to work the kinks out-we sat without water multiple times; server missed a salad drop after multiple reminders (never delivered). Food quality and taste were very good (the artichoke heart appetizer is delicious, and focaccia is always good). Noise level on enclosed patio was loud, especially as the night progressed. It’s definitely a popular location so expect some noise. Will be back and hopefully the kinks are worked out by then.

   We had to send back the soggy calamari and we sat at a table about the size of a TV tray. The pizza was tasty but the house wine was $20.00 a glass. The public parking lot was closed by 5:45?? Luckily we found the last parking spot on the street that was also paid parking.

   Food is the best. Unfortunately, the hostess was less than friendly upon arrival. Ignored for more than 10 minutes by server..had to ask non waiter to place a drink order. Patio is extremely loud.

   Pizza was descent but pasta was by far the worse I ever had in my entire life not only that i paid almost $40.00 for it which makes it even more painful. Stay away from their meatballs too So if you go there , just order pizza, coffee and deserts

From the moment we walked in, the warm, inviting atmosphere made us feel like we were stepping into a cozy trattoria in Italy. The staff is beyond incredible—attentive, friendly, and genuinely passionate about the food, which makes every visit so special. The menu is a love letter to Italian cuisine. Their wood-fired pizzas are perfection—crispy yet soft crusts with the freshest toppings. We tried the Margherita and a special with unique toppings, and both were out of this world! The handmade pastas are just as amazing; the flavors are so rich and authentic, you can tell every dish is made with care. Don’t skip the desserts either— What sets Buona Forchetta apart is how it brings everyone together. Our groups had such a blast sharing dishes, sipping drinks of choice, and soaking in the lively vibe. It’s perfect for a fun night out or a special occasion. We’ve already been back four times and can’t wait to return! Newport is so lucky to have this gem. Highly recommend making a reservation—you won’t be disappointed
