Bruno's has been an institution in New Orleans since the days of prohibition. Having been situated on the three corners of Maple and Hillary since 1934, Bruno's returned to its original address in 2006 with a new building and much more fun to offer. The original home of the "B.B.B." (Babbling Bastards of Bruno's), an old carnival organization with many years of history. Great moments in local sports history, from Tulane's perfect season to the Saint's first division title, are still immortalized on the walls.

Thought this would be more like a real restaurant than a bar that serves food. It isn't. It is very much a bar. Sever asked for the credit card upfront even though there were only a few people in there (like at a bar). Drinks in cheap plastic cups. Food was low quality bar food. Smells of stale beer. As a bar, probably OK. As a place to eat, not so much.

If I could give it 0 stars I would. Appetizer was gross. Pitcher of beer came with no glasses. Waited 20 minutes, asked 3 different people. The bar tender yelled at me when I went up and asked. An arrogant waiter blew me off, tall white dude in a Saints jersey. Never got the cups. Still had to pay for the appetizer that came out cold. Everyone was rude, terrible service will never go back

Fun place! Great Covid prevention measures. Clean! I just had an appetizer which was good, I reserve 5 stars on food for fine dining. Great service!
