   Fried seafood almost burnt in old grease. Inedible. Shocked at high rating on open table. A tourist trap!

   Great casual seafood restaurant. Crab stuffed grouper was great. Grouper bites are a very cool appetizer. Great server.

   It was a fun experience dining outdoors. The food was good, but the kitchen was behind. Drinks were good. The server made sure we were compensated for slow food. We would go back.

   We chose to sit outside so with the live music and bar activity it was loud but fun. Very disappointed they had no oysters as it was what we really wanted.

   The server and host were very kind and accommodating. We were a larger group of all ages and everyone was able to find something on the menu to enjoy. It was a beautiful day to sit outside and watch the ships pass. We highly recommend The Broken Keel.

   Just got into town and got reservations to Broken Keel. Wonderful meal, great ambience sitting outside with overhead heaters. Would go back for sure.

   This restaurant was not we expected based on the reviews we had saw. My wife called the restaurant two hours before going to make sure that the could accommodate our son that has a seafood allergy. The hosted asked the manager and said that would not be an issue. My wife arrived at the restorations 8:20 we sat down and it took about 15 mins for anybody to come a serve us. Finally a waiter came over and introduced herself and my wife told her what we anted as a drinks and we went off to get drinks for us. When she arrived back asked what we wanted too eat. First thing my wife said was my son has a seafood allergy and we called and was told that he could be accommodated. The waitress left the table and came back and said that everything was fired in the same oil as the seafood and wife explained that we would have come if we knew this. She asked for a manager and it took literal 10 mins for someone to come over. He seemed to be confused in his thoughts. To make a long story short we stayed and eat here. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant horrible service and manager that dosent understand things. I rate them. 2/out of 10.

   Of the appetizers we tried to order(oysters) they were out of so we ordered a different appetizer (grouper bites) that came out cold. Mixed drink (mojito) was horrible and could not be drank. It was made completely wrong. Only thing good about the whole experience was the salad I had. Staff appeared very disorganized and dealing with upset customers in different section of restaurant. Took 7 minutes for host to check us in and get us to table with a reservation but couple in front of us had no reservation and went straight to a table. Would not recommend as there are better options in the riverfront district.

   Nothing to write home about. Food average. Wine selection - very poor. Their "stuffed" fish was a piece of fish with a small crab cake on top. Not stuffed.

    Main attraction for us was the menu: fresh oysters on the half-shell. Waiter said there were…none! I opted instead for a fish sandwich and fries. My wife had fish and chips. Bland. In the morning, however, the hotel (River Street Inn) gifted us free breakfast at Broken Keel, which was excellent. We sat at the open air balcony overlooking the Savannah River. Quite a relaxing place.
