Brew House #16 is a great place for pre-theater dinner. It's only two blocks away from Centre Stage and also close to Spotlighters. If you tell them you are going to the theater, service is quick. Before 7, wine and beer are happy hour prices. We got there at 6:15 and we had plenty of time. This is my fourth time at this eatery so you can see I like it. Only problem was they didn't have my reservation from Open Table listed so I was quite surprised when I got this request to review.

Unique and the owner was so nice!! The restaurant is a firehouse converted into a brewery and restaurant. We were there for my boyfriend's graduation and the owner basically waited on us (there was a waitress for small things). Owner gave us the backstory and some other info about the place. Definitely recommend!! We will be returning when we are back in town! P.S. the veggie burger is VEGAN and very tasty. Everyone in our party love the food and beer.:)

I wanted to like this place as it had been recommended to me by my husband. The waitress told me the special for the evening was Mahi Mahi. I'm 9 months pregnant and made sure mahi mahi was safe to eat before ordering it. My sister and her boyfriend ordered the mussels to start and each ordered a separate entree. The mussels were great...and that's about the only positive thing I can say about the rest of the meal. The owner brought out my entree and told me here was my tuna. Confused I asked wasn't it supposed to be mahi mahi. He went back to the kitchen to check and then brought it back out to me saying it was tuna. They didn't have mahi mahi on the menu. Well I would have just eaten it if I wasn't pregnant. I flagged down our waitress and explained to her that she had told me the special was mahi mahi when it was actually tuna and I can't eat tuna pregnant. She took the dish away and offered to bring me the menu. The owner brought the dish back asking if I was allergic to tuna. I told him I couldn't have tuna pregnant and he responded he wasn't sure why the waitress had told me the special was mahi mahi. Mind you my sister and her boyfriend already had their entrees so I hurried up and ordered something safe thinking they would rush it....They did not. I waited about 30 more min to get my chicken. The owner told me it would be up soon but unfortunately they had other things they had to get to first. My sister and her boyfriend were finished their meals by the time they brought mine out. They ordered coffee so I wouldn't be eating alone. The coffee took forever and when the waitress finally brought it out she didn't bring any spoons or sugar. We had to ask for sugar and my sister had to use her knife to stir her coffee. At that point we just wanted to pay the check and leave. The owner did offer us dessert on the house which was nice gesture but that also took forever. Again the mussels were very good....

Cool little place in an old firehouse. The setup of the restaurant is great, the bottomless mimosa brunch was tasty, and they worked with our large group of people! Would definitely recommend as a funky little spot with good food and a friendly atmosphere.

We have been here several times for dinner ah enjoyed it, but brunch was VERY disappointing. It was Mother's Day and we had a reservation and the place wasn't even full, but the wait time for food was ridiculous. We kept having to ask for water refills as no one paid attention to us for the 40 minutes the food took.

Need to update times...had a 9:30 reservation and arrived a few minutes late to be told the kitchen closed at 10pm, not 11pm as advertised. Ordered quickly to compensate for time, took the kitchen 30 min to get a chicken sandwich. Server/hostess were terrific, kitchen service was not.

The burger is amazing. We love it. We ordered the pretzels and they dipping sauces were really nice. The two homemade beers we got were fantastic and our friend said their cocktail was good too! Overall good service. The only thing is that we were out of drinks and no one asked if we wanted another round. Thankfully, we didn't need one but still, its good services to ask. Overall, high recommend!!!
