   Authentic french crepes and galettes! Nice restaurant with a friendly owner who is very accommodating to dietary issues. I am celiac and have eaten here a few times without issue. Seafood Galette is my fave, nice french ciders too. Yum!

   This is a very good crêperie, authentically bretonne. Great selection of savoury and sweet crepes and galettes. The also offered excellent beef at a very reasonable price. The ambiance is quiet, the decor a bit sparse. The service was superb. This restaurant was an unexpected and very pleasant discovery for us and we will certainly be back. It was a bit quiet on the evening that we were there, perhaps due to the roadwork which has been taking place on 17th Avenue, certainly the quality of food and service would make one expect more traffic. We recommend the Breizh Bistrot warmly. It is unpretentious, friendly and great value, with excellent food. It reminded us of similar restaurants which one finds in France, the food is simple but high quality, and excellent value, and the quality here is certainly on par with what we found in Paris.

   My friend and I ate here the evening after Calgary's big snowstorm, so it was quiet. The Norwegian galette was very tasty, the buckwheat crepe being very similar to my previous experience in Brittany. The French dry apple cider was just the right accompaniment to this savoury delight. My friend had the steak tartare with pomme frites; but not having eaten much meat for some time, she found it a bit much to digest. Her issue, not the dish. We both enjoyed the desserts: crepe with homemade caramel sauce and the tart-like, dense cake(forgot the name). They were sweet; but very tasty. Our friendly and knowledgable waiter, Dorian(sp?) was very attentive and helpful in making choices. We will be coming back to try other dishes.

   Outstanding food! Delicious, creative, simply amazing. The service was outstanding also, paying attention to wishes and requests. We are so glad we found this restaurant by coincidence, and we really recommend it. We went there for dinner and were so delighted, we retuned for Sunday brunch.

   Saw on Open Table and decided to give it a try. Very much enjoyed our crepes and blinis. Good, simple french food in a friendly environment!

   Overall my wife had I had a very good experience. She enjoyed her crepe with bay scallops and I enjoyed my crepe with salmon. I saw a previous review that stated the meals were a bit salty. I agree that mine was a little salty, but that might be the way the salmon was supposed to be prepared. It was still good. We shared a crepe auboniere which was fabulous. The waiter was attentive, our food came out promptly, and I enjoyed the outdoor seating. The final bill with drinks was around $80, so not outrageously priced.

    This was likely the worst dining experience my husband and I have ever had. It as my husband’s birthday dinner, so I made reservations here vi Open Table as I usually do, wanting to try some thing different. Well, we got different. We walked in and there was NO ONE else there except 3 people who worked there. Our server was very kind and fairly attentive, but for being the ONLY table in the restaurant all night, could have been better. The food tasted like it was thawed out frozen food or from a package. The entrees (I had the chicken meal, husband had crepes) were so salty they were almost not edible. I ate most of my meat, but left the potatoes which were supposedly this French style potato side but tasted more like over starched, over floured scalloped potatoes that you would buy out of a box and the mixed seasonal vegetables were mushy and over cooked. The 2 appetizers we had were a tiny bit better than the entrees, but we weren’t overly impressed. The bottle of wine we ordered was the best thing we had all evening. We actually walked out of there embarrassed for the owners and our server. I was quite upset and kept apologizing to my husband for choosing this place for his special day. I was embarrassed. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. They have a lot of work to do if they plan on making their establishment a success. I predict their doors will close within a week. Sorry for my harshness, i am not usually this person, but it’s the truth.
