   We had such a good meal here. We could tell that the chef took great care in the dishes! The owner came out to greet us. Farm to table was very accurate. The veal chicken and ribs for spectacular. Well done ❤️

   We had a very nice experience dining outside. The owners are very gracious and our server, Jill, was great. The biscuits are always a winner to start! I had the market salad which was fesh and delicious and the shrimp and grits were very authentic and tasty. Blueberry and peach crisp topped off the dinner perfectly.

   Excellent food, very nice local BYOB. Fig and goat cheese tart was very good.

   Disappointing and needs improvement. Very keen to go and support this BYOB with friends. The reviews and MontCo awards made us think this would be a great choice for us. The first disappointment was with the very limited handful of menu choices and the two specials. We listened to the waitress waiting for her to mention additional specials based on the short printed menu. For a restaurant named Braise I expected more braises and not more grilled and pasta items. They advertise a farm to table approach and "ask for what farm is providing ingredients for our menu this week." No farms or ingredients were mentioned on the menu nor by the wait staff. This was enough for us to start regretting our restaurant choice. 10 minutes after sitting down we were concerned. Service was very friendly but inexperienced. Missing and improperly cleaned silverware and glasses. Topping sparkling water glass with tap water from a pitcher. The Spinach Dip was a good dip to table share but was served with a majority of broken chips. Eggplant Caponata was made with a stack of thin breaded eggplant chips that were alternatively both too chewy from the breadcrumbs and too crisp to cut easily. It was awkward to eat the stack so broke it into layers and managed each layer seperately. It was as if eating a stack of Parmasean Crisps with slices of tomato in between. Very awkward, unflavorful and disappointing. Whiskey Short Ribs were good and a nice portion. Chicken Parmasean special was a big plate of food but heavily breaded coating, thick and not tender Chicken. The majority was not eaten as it wasn't good. Homemade pasta and sauce was also underwhelming and not what was expected. Average prices on the menu were $25 to $30 but the food quality did not reflect the pricing. Not considered for this review but something on the plates caused an allergic reaction with hives and swelling. We will talk with management about ingredients, additives or preservatives used.    The food and the service were very good. We all enjoyed our meals. I said it was quite bexause the were not many people there. At one point we were the only table. I;m not sure why that was the case because as I said the food and service were very good. Plus it's a BYOB.

   The atmosphere was lovely, and the staff was efficient and friendly. My husband enjoyed the short ribs, and I the salmon. I wish there were more selections as I am a vegetarian and only had two options. My husband said he wants to return, and that is something as he is very picky!

   We had an incredible meal at Braise. All of the vegetables were fresh. My steak was cooked perfectly. It was obvious that these dishes were made with local ingredients by someone who cooks with passion. The staff were friendly and very accommodating of my food allergy. We will be regulars here.

    Our second visit, and I must say better than our first. Went on a mild Wednesday evening and ate outside under the covered portion of the patio. There were two other parties outside, only one of which made any noise at all. I started with the fig & goat cheese tart which was excellent. My wife had the tomato bisque soup which she thoroughly enjoyed. We both had the whiskey braised short rib entree. The tender meat fell apart with little effort and was very tasty. The accompanying potatoes and green beans were also great, with the beans being neither over- nor under-cooked. Service was outstanding - attentive without being intrusive. We will be returning.
