   Been a customer since the beginning. I’ve eaten here dozens of times. Used to be excellent. One of my favorite places in Williamsburg. Post-pandemic, everything here has gone downhill. Took a friend for their first visit and I was embarrassed. Many of the classic dishes are gone and what’s left is not high quality like before. Service was erratic. Bozu whisky highball was flat with ice melted... TWICE! Tako balls were chewy. Spicy chicken was not spicy. Kinpira app replaced lotus root with burdock... bland. Veg gyoza was solid as well as garden menu sushi, yet still below par for the hey day of this place. I’m very patient with restaurants struggling through pandemic. I love supporting local businesses. Just felt bleak. This was a sad, expensive experience.

   Our first time dining at Bozu and the food was phenomenal! Everything was so amazing. We will definitely be going back.

   Not a great trip to Bozu I’m afraid. I sat for 15 minutes before anyone checked on me to order even a drink. Was seated in the back room area where there seemed to be a gas leak or something causing a foul smell. Service was very slow and inattentive. Food is always solid there but sadly for the prices, the service and ambience doesn’t match up.

    Knocking one star off for service - I didn’t want to give a hard time to the young host, but he almost gave away our table when we showed up THREE minutes later than our reservation time and awkwardly ignored us and kept us waiting for a while. We were rushed to order because we were sat down 10 minutes before kitchen closing. However, the food was INCREDIBLE and we forgot all about the awkward beginning of the experience and would come back.
