   This is a family owned and very good restaurant. They have a great fish market and the solarium type seating area is awesome overall this is a great spot for wonderful seafood . I will be back

   Dined at Boston Fish Market-Des Plaines for lunch today, Friday, March 28, 2025. The restaurant was clean, the waiter was very nice and friendly. The meals started with water and complimentary garlic bread which was freshly toasted and warm. We ordered the Fried Walleye and Fried Shrimp both meals with Fries, Coleslaw and Tartar Sauce. Everything was Fresh, Hot, and Delicious.

   We came here for a birthday celebration for lunch and everything was absolutely fabulous. We had a Greek salad, fried calamari and crabcake, and it was outstanding.  our server was great too. I really appreciate the cheesecake with chocolate and strawberries for the birthday. They really do a great job here. Can’t wait to come back.

   The food here is excellent; Fresh seafood, large portions and perfectly prepared. My wife and I shared the salmon and crabmeat entree and still took home enough after dinner to share for lunch the next day. The Open Table reservation experience on our Saturday evening visit was not as satisfying. We arrived 15 minutes before our 7 pm reservation time and we had to stand in line waiting for a table until almost 7:30. Then we waited another 20-25 minutes before the waiter took our order. The poor hostess at the entrance was swamped with the crowd standing in line but did not have a printed reservation list in hand. It is good that the restaurant is so popular but I hope management invests some time and money improving the entrance experience

   This restaurant does not honor Open Table reservations!!! Other diners confirmed to me that this restaurant doesn't care if you made a reservation - you still wait in line. They only use Open Table to draw customers.

   We had a reservation for 2 people at 6pm. However, I’m not sure why they even let you make a reservation because they paid no mind to it - never even asked for a name. We didn’t sit until about 6:40pm which was slightly frustrating because we had plans after dinner for my date’s birthday, but I guess now we know. Once sat, the service and the food were great. The drinks took longer to arrive than the appetizer (about 15 mins), but all the food came out hot and the portions were large. It was a very busy night and you could tell the staff was working hard.

    Absolutely best place to get seafood, large portions and great prices for the amount of food you get. Host was not welcoming at all and completely disregarded that people had made reservations, stated everyone needs to wait in line. It was extremely busy on a Friday night and way under staffed
