   At the time of booking a key decider was a goid range of options on the menu. Sadly on the day the menu was significantly reduced and so did not meet our expectations . It is also more of a cafe than a restaurant experience Our table was very cramped for space making it very difficult for most of us to easily get in or out of our chairs. Servers were cheerful and the food OK but we won't be going back anytime soon.

   Loads of dogs inside the restaurant, owners using extension leads. Put me off going again, food was average so was the service. The view was lovely, but too many smelly dogs

   Booked requesting table for 8 outside a week in advance. Informing them we would be attending with 2 small babies and would need a shaded area. Arrived for booking and informed that they don’t take bookings for the outside. Thankfully we found some shade for the babies but there were several of my contact details on the booking for them to inform me of this. Parking also a total nightmare. There is ample parking in the restaurant car park but it is allowed to be used by members of the public who aren’t using the restaurant. Despite a sign informing customer only this is not policed.

   Need not of booked no one around to acknowledge we arrived so just found a table Lovely food, good service stunning views. Main gripe no disabled parking available

   It was a Sunday but there was no roast dinner which is why we went. No one informed us beforehand that roast was not in the menu. It was packed and there were queues out the door to order food. No table service available for people that had reserved. Menu was limited and we ended up with a ploughman’s that arrived with half the plate missing. It cost just under £70 for what was very average food for 3 people. Lovely location.

   A basic lunch, not the dining experience I expected. Noisy, crowded, very limited lunch menu. Staff non attentive, brought the food over then not seen again. Food is ordered and paid for in advance, customer goes to the counter to order and pay up front just like in a pub. In the past dining at the Boatyard was a treat, lovely food, varied menu, relaxing ambience. It was my husbands birthday, which I mentioned when booking but this was not acknowledged in any way. Altogether an average, underwhelming dining experience. Don't bother, we will not be going back.

    Staff always helpful friendly and pleased to see you. Menu varied and food always well presented. We had open fish finger sandwich and chips, fish and chips and vegan roasted vegetable tart and side salad and chips. Lovely views over the river Stour. Can’t wait for the summer to sit outside. Look forward to our next visit when we’re next up in Suffolk. Thank you!
