   Can´t really understand the high rate for this restaurant. Not fancy, not cosy, not really much of anything.

   Miso sea bass was perfectly prepared and delicious. The shrimp entree was a sticky mess and very expensive ($69) and only had 4 shrimp-very disappointing. The crème brûlée was delightful and beautifully presented in a long narrow serving dish and was perfect for sharing. Service was excellent.

   It was very good, and a nice respite from the din of the city. Beautiful ambiance, not crowded like most city restaurants, wonderful wait staff.

   The food is delicious. We each had a different fish dish and shared. The cod with miso sauce, blackened scallops, tuna and salmon, all fabulous. Our server was very attentive and the service was wonderful. We could even hear each other!

   We had salads, sushi and seafood roll. Everything fresh and delish.

   This was the worse experience I’ve ever had at a NYC restaurant. The quality overall of this EXPERIENCE was POOR. The food was lukewarm at best when served. The SERVICE was SLOW. The server brought the wrong appetizer and didn’t even notice. When I asked to see the manager to discuss the situation he waited 15-20 minutes before responding and there were only three tables occupied so it wasn’t because the place was packed. When we left it was empty. The manager was rude and did nothing to correct the poor experience except to not charge for a baked potato. For a $400 check this was a HUGE WASTE when there are so many better places to dine in NYC. My fond memories of better meals at Blue Fin were far outweighed by the reality of a terrible and expensive birthday celebration.

   So, we should have known better than to book a restaurant in Times Square. The service was excellent. The food, not so much. Also overpriced. If you have ever been to a restaurant that tries to hard to be unique, this would be it. The scallops were raw on the inside despite being blackened. The lobster tails were tough and overcooked. Despite being asked not to add jalapeño to one dish, they did anyways. The corn was almost raw, it was so under cooked. Would not recommend.

   Delicious. When nearby, we take advantage of the best cooked and presented meal in the Times Square area. BF has given us some of the best fish dishes in the city. Who says you can’t eat well in Times Square? We can’t speak for the steak but the appetizers, sides and fish entrees are fresh and perfectly cooked. We tried the pre fixe with lobster bisque, grilled salmon and diva desert. Very good serving sizes for the money and they were done to perfection. It was as usual a glorious meal. Thinking of going to another Broadway show sooner just to eat there again.

    Roasted oysters were overly salty. Tuna was delicious. Scallops were undercooked and sent back; replaced scallops were also undercooked but the bed of corn was great.
