   This is a lovely looking restaurant with lots of character. The staff were all very friendly and seemed happy to help. Two of us dined having starters, main courses, shared a dessert plus a bottle of wine and it came to just over £60 which is quite good. The food I would have to say was ok, nothing wrong with any of it but at the same time nothing to recommend, I've eaten as nice a meal in many a pub. Improve the food a little bit and this would be a restaurant I'd frequently return to.

   Our Sunday lunch was amazing. My husband said it was the best he's ever tasted. Our children cleared their plates , a miracle in our house

   We were extremely disappointed with this restaurant - it took over an hour before our main course arrived and then the vegs were cold. The vegs were then heated up but this is not an experience we intend to risk repeating. Shame, as it was good a year ago. New chef?

   Very friendly welcome and attentive service it was a Monday evening and there were no other diners. A beautiful authentic wood beamed medieval character property. My lamb shank was perfect lots of it and very tasty however my husbands fish was not so perfect - small portion. The wooden chairs though attractive and of an unusual design were very hard. Very handy location for Coventry's iconic Belgrade Theatre. We will go again it was an enjoyable evening.

   Not sure what has happened to this place as it used to be lovely. However seems to have really gone downhill. No drinks menu! Ended up with a dodgy Romanian Pinot Grigio. Food was pretty poor. Won't be going back.

   I have dined off and on here for a few years and rarely review but I'm spurned on because there's obviously a heap of anonymously left negative reviews and I have to say that the food and service is great again. Four people dined. All of us with different tastes and expectations and all of our expectations were satisfied to a very high standard. Thank you for a great meal out

   We visited last year and had a really god experience, so we of cause decided to reserve a table, when we returned to Coventry. That was a huge mistake. They were only able to serve a very small part of the menu, so we ended up with burgers. Though being the only ones in the restaurant it took 40 minutes to get our food and quite some time to get anything to drink. The place was freezing cold. We had to keep our coats on. Most of the time there was no staff in the restaurant and the food was absolutely horrible - nowhere close to the quality, we experienced a year ago. Definitely not worth the price or time.

    Food was amazing but the fact they didn't have a drinks menu was a bit strange. The staff didn't have any knowledge of the wines which made it difficult to order. The food was of good quality and generous portions so would definitely go back.
