Great coffee, wine and spirits enjoyed alongside uncomplicated food and shared with friends. At Bloomsday Café, we believe in the simplicity of everyday pleasures. Cappuccino with a croissant. Wine to finish the workday. We like it best brewed slowly, prepared thoughtfully, and poured joyfully. We don’t do fussy. And because people have always loved a good drink in the company of good food, we do that too. Stay a while or just stop in. Here on the cobblestone shambles of Headhouse Square, Bloomsday Café is a modern meeting place for friends, neighbors, and those just passing through. We’re here morning, noon, and night.

Ambience is everything here but food always meh. Want to love the food by decided it’s only a coffee or drink place. Music choices off & too loud. Service good. Still recommend for the space

Limited small brunch menu. Bread basket sold out. No English muffins for a benedict and couldn’t accommodate a children’s menu. Food was good. Wish they offered more of a brunch experience

The food was delicious. I would highly recommend getting the Grandma's Life Tray - we absolutely loved it. Our server was super knowledgeable and gave us great suggestions about food and wine throughout the meal. Really incredible dining experience.

It’s way overpriced for what you get. Avocado toast was pretty but i could have thrown it together at home in 5 minutes and was a tiny portion.

Despite having a reservation, the hostess sat us at THE WORST table right next to the entrance. The poor service rating is due to the hostesses, not our waitress who was good. Food was just okay. Nothing special here

Very unpleasant experience: our server was mostly absent and at the end of the dinner completely disappeared for a very long time. We were never able to order dessert and I ultimately had to go search for the server. When we finally found her i was met by a rude and unprofessional response - and when she finally did bring the check berated us for having the nerve to hunt her down to get our bill. I don’t think I’ve ever had a more rude and inappropriate server. Definitely a place to avoid.

The restaurant is decorated very nicely, but about half of the restaurant is directly in front of the main door, so in the winter it is quite cold every time the door is opened. The appetizers were very good, particularly the baba ghanoush. The meal was good, but not really memorable. The staff was all very friendly and pleasant, but service was very slow and our waiter delivered our check without ever asking if we were finished, which we were not. Also, because it is loud and we were directly under a speaker, there was a misunderstanding about my order, which happens. The waiter never came by to check on how our meal came out, though, and when I asked about it at the end he was very apologetic, but no effort was made to compensate. Nice restaurant but they can definitely take things up a notch.
