Blacklock a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old electricity substation on the site of London"s oldest meat market. We take the best meat in the country from the award-winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. On Sundays we serve a Sunday Roast almost as good as Mum's.

We have limited spaces for Walk-ins, so we encourage booking in advance to avoid disappointment during busy times.

I have been to various Blacklocks quite a few times now and it never disappoints. The meat is always cooked to perfection and I always have the same dilemma as to which chops to choose because they are all so good.

Great food as always, spoilt by very poor service. Not sure whether it was us, or whether the waitress simply didn’t want to be there, however whatever the case, she made it quite clear she was in no mood to help. Will return as food is always good, fingers crossed we don’t get the same waitress

This place offered a really great Sunday roast but really I’m only writing this review to compliment the server, sadly I didn’t get his name but bald head and loud voice, the service was exemplary. If only every restaurant had someone like this. Nice staff, nice food. Would return. House lager really good too. We found it a little too loud, only reason it’s not five stars to be honest.

Best Sunday Roast to date! We could have drank the gravy. Wonderful, accommodating staff. Would recommend to anyone looking for a top-notch Sunday dinner.

Excellent Sunday roast. We enjoyed the extra gravy. Great efficient service. Buzzy atmosphere. Loved the wine on tap great wine and good value
