Unfortunately, the quality of the food was less than we expected, especially for the price. The pretzel board, which we ordered as an appetizer, was great. However, the vegetarian nachos were little more than chips with very few toppings. The poblano pepper was overly spicy, and the pasta was dry. Our son seemed to enjoy the burger and fries. We sat outside and it was beautiful, which somewhat made up for the quality of the food.

Black Sage is easily the best restaurant in Zion. We went for dinner two nights in a row and every single dish we had was amazing. All of the dishes are so well made and balanced with the perfect combination of locally sourced ingredients. The views are beautiful and the staff are friendly and attentive. I am still talking about the squash fritters and mushroom gravy pot roast because they were so good and I can’t get over the flavors. The cheesecake also had the most perfect texture I’ve ever had in a cheesecake. Phenomenal. Highly recommend if you want a quality, high end dining experience in Zion.

Wonderful resort but the restaurant was terribly over priced. The food was good but not worth the price tag.

Food was excellent. Pot roast and s’mores dessert were phenomenal. Markup on wine and beer was steep - but what else is new for vacation destinations. Service was good too but getting food took a while. It wasn’t bc of servers. The two of us there for over 2 hours. Suggest sitting outside. We sat inside. Only half your party gets the great view.

My husband and I went to Black Sage because we were celebrating a special occasion and wanted an out of the ordinary culinary experience. It was a truly extraordinary dining experience with extraordinarily delicious and and artfully crafted dishes. We are very glad we made the drive out to Black Sage, which was part of the adventure. We especially enjoyed the Squash Fritters, Trout Cakes and Pork Belly Tacos. The S’mores Tart was amazing! It was well worth the splurge!

Lots of potential here, and beautiful country, but a difficult unpaved road and food that was probably twice the price of what it should be left us feeling like it was a pleasant And unique experience, but we will probably not return or recommend.

Our dinner at Black Sage was perfect. The food was delicious. I had the bolognese my husband had the pork chop. The ambiance was quiet and intimate. Highly recommend going here. A unique experience. We ordered room service the night before and got the charcuterie board, the quinoa salad, and the southwest caesar. We had been traveling all day so just wanted to sit by the fire and have something light. Everything was delicious. The chef makes even the simplest salads elevated and uniquely flavored. 10/10
