   We booked a booth but didn't get one. Service was really very poor - not once did someone come to our table without us having to shout or run after them to get their attention usually after waiting ages! We ordered deserts about 3 times which they eventually gave us free because for some reason the order didn't go in ! The setting however was lovely and food was nice. I'm hoping the experience was a one off. I have been a number of times before and service was fine.

   Lovely food and great service, the staff worked really hard but where very friendly, was very busy with it being Father’s Day.

   Black Horse Beamish is in a beautiful countryside setting. We've eaten here before and the food quality and service was very good as always.

   I have visited on a few occasions, always been happy with the food and service. Last night was a disaster. Waited 90 minutes for food, when complained were advised we would get deserts free. Steak came without steak knives and waited a good 5 minutes for knives. Lamb was cold, when speaking to the waiter he advised 'that is the due to the way its cooked'. We waited over 20 minutes for the plates to be taken away. Had one drink, had to go to the bar for a further drink as waiters were nowhere to be seen. On gaining the bill, deserts were on. We had to ask for them to be removed. Paying £150 for just main meals with soft drinks (other than 2 glasses of wine and 3 coffees) with that level of service is very expensive in my view. It's such a shame as my previous experience has been very positive. Is this a one off? I understand there may have been some issue with resource, but if that is the case, notice when being seated would may have helped and an apology.

   The Black Horse wonderful location. Food was alright - the puddings were delicious. Service was poor - amateurish & slow but everyone was friendly.

   As always a beautiful place to come but the service was beyond poor. No experienced waiting staff so had no cutlery, found some ourselves for lunch but asked for some desert spoons and never saw them again. Ice cream was melted by the time we sourced them. Had to move our own plates as were there that long despite staff walking past.

    The Sunday lunch was very tasty and well presented. The Staff were very attentive and helpful. It was busy but this did not affect the food timings or staff. All in all an excellent experience.
