   Me and a friend visited the Black and Blue restaurant at Borough market for lunch on Easter Sunday. The service was excellent along with the food and ambience of the restaurant. The location of the restaurant is good too as it's in the heart of Borough Market.

   I love a steak. Usually opt for fillet so did so this time. It was not cooked how I requested and was bland and uninspiring. It also cost a hefty £39 and looked the same size as my friend’s pave steak-frites, which was part of their Prix Fixe menu of three courses for £30. She kindly let me try some of hers and it was nearly as smooth as mine. So I felt I’d wasted lots of money. We also ordered and sent back a side dish of green beans that was served like warm and very over done. These were removed from the bill without any bother. Staff were friendly and the restaurant is smart

   Great location and nice restaurant. Very friendly and efficient staff, especially Pookie! My only concern is the cost of the steaks had risen over 16% in a year! E.g the cote de boeuf seems to go up every time we visit; it was £49 last year and is now edged up to £57.
