   Came in for a group brunch while I was visiting friends for a weekend in Dallas. As usual, my friends were hungover and running late. The host and server took it all in stride and brought out apps and drinks as people arrived. The avocado toast was a great starter. The drinks were potent and delicious, they were all pink for some reason, but super tasty! We all ended up having the hot chick sando with a side of bacon. We all left buzzed, full, and happy. The place started to get a bit loud once the football games started, but brunching on a football Sunday at a place known for its big screen TVs and games wasn't a surprise. 10/10 would go back.

   We went for our anniversary and a night on the town in Deep Ellum. This place was recommended online as new and fun. The food was marginally good at best. We both had the lobster rolls and they were $18 each. The roll had more celery than anything else in it. We were not impressed and won’t be back.

   Limited food menu disappointed. For an oyster bar, selection was very limited and didn’t deliver. Not a fan.

   Bitter End is by far the best spot in not only Deep Ellum, but in Dallas Metro. The concept is fresh and lively, the food has a quality unparalleled to similar restaurants, the staff is amazingly friendly and the drinks were the best creative cocktails I have ever had! Amazing concept restaurant with a bright future in the area!

   They are relatively new so I'll give them a break while they figure things out but my initial thoughts are 1. Music is incredibly loud. Might be okay in the evening but for a late afternoon brunch, it was ridiculous. 2. Brunch menu is okay but at 2-3 pm on a weekend, i would also like the option of a traditional lunch menu as well. 3. Service was initially slow, almost as if they didn't know who was responsible for our table, so therefore no one was. 4. Hoping they plan to set up outdoor table once weather is consistently nicer.

   We made a reservation at the Bitter End because they served oysters. We each ordered one dozen raw and charbroiled oysters. We requested horseradish (which is typically served at EVERY oyster bar) because it was missing in our order. We also asked for an additional cocktail sauce because there wasn't enough for our dozen oysters (the 1/2 dozen gets the same size sauce). We were surprised to be charged extra for each of these items. Our server was very kind. Unfortunately, this sit-down restaurant was extremely loud with rap music and we couldn't hear each other. While our service was great, we won't be back.
