   Nice place, good food, like Tuesday wine and dine deal. Good atmosphere, but can be very noisy, in each of last two visits large party of extremely noisy young women screeching and laughing spoilt our visit, but normally enjoy very pleasant time there.

   Excellent meal nice house wine and a very relaxed atmosphere. Booked on line only slot turned out to be a bit early but were not rushed so able to relax. Would recommend telephoning to book table as times are available all day. Enjoyale experience and will be going again.

   Consistently great value and a very good, French bistro-style restaurant. We've always had excellent meals here and also at its sister restaurants. Highly recommended.

   Seven of use whent for four thirty pre theatre meal and two of us had Two course and bottle of wine all very good value only one falt veg not very hot .

   Six of us visited Bistro Jacques for a pre theatre meal. Good choice of food for each course and delicious as well. Tuesday offer is excellent value - 2 courses and a bottle wine for £17.99. As 2 of us were driving we were able to take our wine home! Staff were friendly and efficient and at no time did we feel rushed or under pressure to leave our table. We were there for 2 hours! Bistro Jacques is always our choice when visiting the Everyman.

   The restaurant was very good. The problem was that my booking with OpenTable had not been received by the restaurant.

   Absolutely appalled at the food. Table for six and we were the only people in the restaurant and were put in the most uncomfortable area. Starters very poor as was main course including pork that was uncooked. I have been to this restaurant several times and never experienced such poor food. House wine was £19. Has this place changed hands ...not worth the visit.

    I ordered a chicken dish and got plaice. However, I accepted (daft, I know!), as I didn't want to hold my guests up. The fish had not been filleted, deheaded or skinned. There was very little fish left after the tortutous removal of bones. My wife left her soggy cod gratin - covered in a bitter tomatoey type runny sauce. The chocolate lavender and crumble were really nice.
