   Best restaurant in Stowe. Beautiful little restaurant in an old house. Tons of charm, fireplace, consistently good food, wonderful wait staff, and many other pluses.

   We are big fans of TBATA and have eaten there many times over the years. This visit was the first that was disappointing- primarily because of the waiter assigned to our table - the young man was uninterested, gruff, and rushed us. Normally the service is outstanding- we will be back - but hopefully we won’t encounter this waiter again.

   Place is nice and service friendly. But my wife ordered steak “medium” and it came out more toward “well done”. My lobster was terrific with polenta, but drenched in butter and very rich, so beware. Bourbon chocolate pecan pie was delicious.

   Great dinner with out of town guests. Dave(bartender) mixed GREAT drinks. Nick our waiter was timely, knowledgeable, and appropriatly conversant. All meals were tastefully prepared.

    Four of us dined here and totally enjoyed everything about this restaurant. Three had the lobster special and one had steak. All prepared to perfection. Service was excellent. Highly recommend.
