A New Glaswegian Restaurant - Every Dish Tells a Story

Birdtree & Bellfish is set to cast nostalgia and a sense of history. The menu is very much seeded in hearth & home with old fashioned innovation to create tasty dishes in a Glaswegian way, akin to our communities of old, thriving in making the most with what they had. Our team have also worked hard to draw on this attitude to create a menu of local cultural influence and ‘gastrofying’ the offering to appeal to the modern diner.

Attended with a Groupon voucher that was a present. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was good and desert was great.

Been here a few times for dinner and everything is usually very good however, had lunch on Saturday and to be honest it was very disappointing, the service was poor and the food was average! The restaurant was very busy with only 2 members of staff tending the restaurant and the bar

Booked for Steak meal with wine -Sunday 5.30 Service was brisk and efficient Meal was excellent, hand cut chips, mushrooms, steak was cooked to our different taste and was very good. The wine was a lovely Merlot which was quoted at £18 on menu Overall a great deal for £28 for 2 ......recommended

The meal was really good, but the service was very poor. People arrived after me and were given a menu before me, I waited a long time and then had to finally ask. The impression given was that nobody knew what they were doing.

Left standing a long time on arrival and a couple were seated immediately and there was no ‘be with you in a moment’ comment from the server so we stood waiting for 5 minutes even after staff were walking by. Food was tasty and the choices were quirky. However the service was diabolical. Food came out quickly but before our drinks, had to remind waiter twice to bring us water and we got it half way through our mains! Also asked for condiments and didn’t receive any so just asked a table beside us. It wasn’t busy and there was no attention to detail. The table beside us ordered wine and had to wait some time for glasses!

Slow service. Food order mixed up (waiter never wrote it down) . Had to ask for the heating to be turned up as it was cold. Steak deal - steaks small and not cooked how we asked for them. Wouldn't go back.
