The Bird in Hand is a friendly independently owned and operated pub in the village of Mayford. Whether you are looking for a casual drink, formal get together, delicious Sunday roast or a beer in our lovely garden area we have you covered.
We offer a great selection of beers, wine & cocktails that can be paired with our fresh seasonal menus served in our formal dining area, casual bar area or large sunny garden. We are proud to have a passionate and dedicated team who are here to help you enjoy your experience with us.
We are dog friendly in our bar and garden areas.
Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times. Children of any age may dine with us but must vacate the premises by 8pm.

    Service was excellent, the waitress was very attentive and professional, I was very impressed. Food was excellent. Have been to Bird in the hand several times and it's always consistently good.

    I have eaten at the Bird in Hand on previous occasions and been very satisfied. Service was excellent as always. Noise level acceptable as most of the tables were occupied. The food was beautifully served but, sadly the plates were cold and the food was vaguely warm. Sadly a little dissappointing

    Fabulous lunch chosen from the April set menu. Super presentation and tasted delicious. Best meal I have had out in a very long time. Service was excellent. Exceptional value for money. 2 courses for £19.95. Will definitely be visiting again.

    MY mother in law has a garlic allergy and the chef went through the menu dish by dish highlighting which had garlic and then cooked a garlic free main course- fantastic service and great food
