   Worst meal I’ve ever had. I took my team for a Christmas lunch. Every meal was terrible. I had a beet salad that had FOUR TEENY pieces of beets. Another had schnitzel that was deep fried beyond recognition. The donuts were so dry that we literally couldn’t swallow them. So massively disappointing.

   I thought the food was very good and so was the service. Did find the music a bit loud.

   The food was expensive and terrible. I ordered pizza that tasted like frozen store bought pizza with ketchup sauce.

   Great service, good volume for talking, excellent drink options. Especially beer!

   Poor Service. The restaurant was not by any means busy. It took about 20 minutes to be approached by the waitress when we sat down. Another 15-20 minutes to be served water, amd another 20 minutes to come back and take out order. The food took about 45 mins to come and we only ordered salads!!! Salad was whilted and quinoa was very very soggy. Expected much more out of a $20 salad. Asked for water refill 4x before I actually went up and got the pitchers myself. Waiter didn’t even offer to come over and pour it. Payment was the same, I approached the waitress after half hour of requesting the bill. Spoke to the manager, didn’t seem to care and just shrugged off our complaint. Not recommended at all!

   My group was there for about 3 hours and the waitress only came around twice to ask for drink refills. Would have liked to order more drinks if given the chance. When the table did order drinks, i waited upwards of 20 minutes and reminded the waitress twice about bringing them. This was truely unexceptable for a restaurant which prides itself on their drink selection. The waitress was not knowledable about any of the drinks or menu items. We ordered pizza (that was dry), onion rings, and a pretzel that was so salty we could not finish it without scraping off the salt. I asked for bread for the table and was given 3 small slices of toast for a table of 4 people. The 2 flights of beer were not filled all the way up and had excessive foam. We notified the waitress did fix it right away - we were pleased with this. We have been to the BierMarkt before and had amazing service, drinks and food, so we reccommended this location for a few of our friends who had not been there before. They were very turned off by the lack of service and the mediocre food - we are frankly embarassed that we chose this location. We are heavily disappointed that one of our favourite restaurants has declined in both their service and food.

   I have always loved the Bier Markt, since the first location opened many years ago on the Esplanade. We would often go for the delicious cheese fondue and frites. While the food is still delicious and I love some of the new menu options, much to my disappointment, the fondue (the cheese and the chocolate) is no longer on the menu. Also, Bier Markt Sherway desperately needs to update their lighting. The lighting alternates between being very harsh and bright or being dark and shadowy.

   Very disappointing as a first time visitor. We will not be back. Waited over 35 minutes after being seated for someone to take our drink and food order and it was not even busy on Saturday night. Another couple at table next to ours walked out after also waiting. Restaurant was very warm and uncomfortable at 78 degrees (thermostat was on wall next to our table). Told the hostess who seemed indifferent and didn't seem like she wanted to be there. had to chase her down later to get a server. Food was mediocre. Pork schnitzel was dry and overcooked and the Onion Ring appetizer was barely warm probably having sat at the pass. Others in our party had the Spicy Sausage Pizza (little undercooked), Market Burger (fries were barely warm) and Beef Gouda Dip. Only good thing was the beer variety.

    Went there to watch the game but their TVs aspect ratio was stretched out to the point where both the left and right of the screen was cropped out. To the point where the score of one of the teams playing was not visible. We asked them to correct the issue but apparently nobody knew how to. Since we can’t hear the sound from the tv, the purpose of our visit became pointless and wasted.
