   Bentley's is the restaurant at The Black Bear Lodge at Stratton Mountain. They have a full bar but a short menu. Hamburger was good, Crispy 1/2 duck could have been crispier but was tasty.

   Nice place physically, very pleasant young server, but they need to get someone in the kitchen who knows how to cook. Turkey burger...tasteless, overdone. That is not exactly a complex dish to do well. Place was extremely quiet because there were only three tables of people in a very large room. Too bad...its location and the room have great potential but it was empty for a reason....the food can't compete with other local restaurants. Empty on a Friday night during ski season? That says it all.

   For $100 for a family of four I don't expect stale buns or dishes left on the table when my server comes and goes. I had to send my drink back because the tonic was flat. This may be a personal thing, but in a restaurant where the pasta dishes cost $22, I don't expect the bartender to have a nose ring. Not classy. I Even felt the kids menu was expensive $8.95 each.

   Good food, generous portions, adequate food choices, competent waitstaff. The bar and tvs are visible from your table so this is not your romantic getaway but it was great to dine here and not drive down the access road. We will definitely return

   Good food, good salads, good ambience for family. Appreciate that they give options other than french fries for kids' meals (fruit cup or vegetables). We very much enjoyed our meal!

   Bentley's is walking distance from town square in Stratton which is a plus in the freezing cold. It does have a somewhat limited menu, but the food is excellent and there are enough choices for dining with kid.s

   It is such a shame when you have a pleasant experience at a restaurant with great service and then the food is disappointing. We were greeted and treated very well in a nice environment. Unfortunately, the steaks were thin and dry, the pumpkin ravioli was not a good marry of flavors and the bread pudding for dessert was bland and very dry. We would not go back as in the same area there are restaurants with better food. It was also very expensive and not worth it.

   We went to Bentley's on CHristmas Eve as we were staying near Stratton Mountain. The food was less than average, and the risotto that accompanied my duck was truly inedible. Salad with cranberries and pears was good, but tomato soup tasted like it came straight out of a can. They do have a kids' menu which is nice. Room is quite large (it's in a ski lodge after all) so kind of has a cafeteria feel to it. Don't reallly recommend this place over the cuter restaurants in the actual village of Stratton.

   Good choice near the mountain. First time dining here even though we have been coming to Stratton regularly for years, chose it as we can now reserve on open table. Good food although limited menu choices and attentive service from our server Lori. Will go back again this season if it does not get over-run with crowds

    This is the second year enjoying Stratton for Thanksgiving. A difficult decision for me personally as most of my family memories come from childhood Thanksgivings. That being said - we decided to spend some quality time with our two kids on the slopes. It's been an incredible experience, from the time on the mountain with each other to lively dialogues on the chairlift...I wouldn't change a thing. Part of that experience has been our dinners at Bentley's. Hard to believe but yes this is one of the things we look forward to on our trip. The chef does an incredible job with Turkey and all the fixings - DELISH. Thank you for helping us create new traditions. See you next Thanksgiving.
