Belly Bao is a located ion King Street, Newtown - Sydney's cultural hub.

Sydney's first dedicated home of Bao, we specialise in hand made Bao creativity. It's important to us that you enjoy our love for food paired with great drinks and friendly service in our fun, casual restaurant that offers a hint of old Chinese restaurant nostalgia.

Taking from the traditional chinese pork bun (pork bao), we pride ourselves on our hand made bao, and introducing our asian heritage to our Australian home.

    This is my favourite restaurant! The service and food is always 10/10. I put that it was a birthday when booking, and even though none of us asked, they brought out dessert with a candle and sang. It was a really nice surprise and I appreciated them doing it unprompted. Will always come back here

    Outstanding experience. The vibes were immaculate, the Bao buns hit the spot and the drinks were straight fire. Also the service was perfection, felt really looked after. Will be back soon!

    The food was lovely! Didn’t love it was such a fast turn around restaurant. As you order off a piece of paper it was hard to grab someone’s attention as we didn’t have an allocated to waiter to ask questions on the menu. We ordered and received the food within 30 minutes

    Loved it! The decorations was very nice. Food was nicely presented and priced quiet responsibly. The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Definitely worth the visit
