   Our first time here , read many reviews prior to booking table . Food was exceptional!!!! Will go back another time and will be squeezing it into our cycle of restaurants

   I had risotto with asparagus and fava beans, and it was delicious, and a little expensive. I also had a wonderful cocktail with cardamom and lemon, which I highly recommend. For dessert, the lemon panna cotta was divine. I want to acknowledge the waiter, who was attentive and helpful with menu suggestions, and with adjusting the heater as we were sitting outside. Bellanico has done a great job making the outdoor seating comfortable with not only heaters but heavy curtains to block out the sun when it starts beaming into one's eyes in the evening.

   Loved the restaurant week menu! Will be back for brunch. Parklet was nice and dog friendly, which is a plus. Waiter even offered a bowl of water for our dog.

   We’ve been going to Bellanicos for a number of years and were happy to see them participating in Oakland’s Restaurant Week. A Prix Fix menu, especially there, is such a wonderful way to taste so many different things that aren’t necessarily on their regular menu. Sad that they don’t have it year round, like they used to. Regardless, it’s such a great place to go for dinner. Service is as wonderful as the food is!

   Bellanico is a neighborhood gem. This visit was during Oakland's restaurant week. The dinner menu offerings provided extremely nice choices, and the food was fabulous. Service was great - it was friendly, we did not feel rushed, but the meal was very nicely paced. Bellanico also has a nice selection of champagne and wines by the glass. If you are ever there for a weekend brunch - don't miss the carbonara - a favorite!

    Always excellent food, creative chef, and knowledgeable servers. We overheard ( never told directly) that they were short-staffed 3/22. Nonetheless, ALL the employees persevered with attentiveness ~~ KUDOS to them! They were moving at lightning speed! We enjoyed duck liver pate, mussels & sausage, rabbit casoncelli ravioli (over the moon tasty!), incredible swordfish though with insufficient veggies. The swordfish was amazingly moist and firm ~~grilled to perfection! BUT. The plastic chairs on patio are disgraceful ~~each and every single one is in shreds and what is left is sagging! A very successful restaurant can offer more respectful accommodations. Yes, we’ll be back: craving the food, braced for noise inside and outside, and bringing seat cushions.
