We are the former Bella On the River (Restaurant) that operated on the San Antonio River Walk for over 7 ½ years, re-located and established as Bella on Houston. Bella on Houston, 204 E. Houston Street, is located in the historic Brady Building in the heart of downtown San Antonio. We remain a local and independently operated restaurant, featuring Southern European, mostly Mediterranean food. Our executive Chef Sean Fletcher continues to lead his crew creating and producing outstanding food that is fresh, unique, and different, with great quality and consistency, and a really good value. Our professional and friendly service staff remains dedicated to making all our guests welcome and appreciated with our “we are glad you're here!" focus and attention.

We were going to see Michael McDonald at the Majestic and wanted to have a nice meal before, and we were not disappointed! Bella’s had been recommended to us and now we are happy to recommend them as well! Chef did an excellent job and service was superb!

Waiter was very knowledgeable and helpful with suggestions. Wife got the Tenderloin and I got the Diver Scallops, both were very tasty. Side order of oyster mushrooms was average. Website menu matched the dinner menu exactly, which was helpful for us to know what was offered.

What a great place. Very nice bar. Food is wonderful. They moved all of great service and food to this new location. Now better than ever.

Another great experience at this locally owned restaurant. Everything was excellent. Don't wait until you are going to a show at the Majestic to check this place out.

Our dining experience at Bella on Houston was wonderful! The food was delicious! I highly recommend the vegetarian eggplant entree. The service was excellent! Everyone was so welcoming & friendly. We will definitely go back the next time we are in San Antonio!

One of the best dinner experiences we have had as a couple. My wife enjoyed her meal and I enjoyed the service and meal because the date night was special. Lovely birthday celebration.

This was an AMAZING meal experience, I cannot emphasize enough how awesome the service, food and ambience was for our meal at Bella on Houston! I brought my family here as a vacation treat and it was the perfect place for an amazing family meal, but I saw how it could also be great for a girls night or even a romantic evening. Our waitress provided the most out of this world service, replacing the table cloth and helping clean off a spill, providing excellent wine and food advice and even offering some tasting of wines when we were a little indecisive. As a resident New Yorker, sometimes I can have very unrealistically high standards for food, but Bella did not disappoint. I highly recommend the Redfish, the Bella pasta and the white chocolate bread pudding for dessert! This was an awesome meal, my parents were so happy to have such a nice meal, and I cannot that the Bella team enough for the amazing night!
