Over 40 years of Chicago tradition!

Bacino’s founder, Dan Bacin opened the first Bacino’s 40 years ago in the heart of Chicago’s Lincoln Park neighborhood. Dan had been running a popular art-and-culture radio station and publishing a companion magazine when he decided to sell that business and open his own restaurant. After a great deal of research and advice from leading restaurateurs, he decided on the very competitive pizza business. After all, Chicago was a world class pizza market with over 3,300 pizza purveyors, but Dan’s mission was to use only the freshest and highest quality ingredients – fresh mozzarella, fresh vegetables, and even making his very own pizza sauce. Bacino’s became a great success topping AOL’s pizza pol and having the top selling pizza at the Taste of Chicago for many years.

The gluten free crust was actually quite good and made it a delicious pizza. I did not realize that the restaurant was part of a hotel lobby and there was very little ambience. I think the address is 66 and not 75.

The food was fine and so was the service. My problem was the restaurant itself was nothing like its webpage portrayed itself. The appearance and ambiance from the webpage made it look like a nice old Italian place. When we arrived it was in the lobby of a very basic hotel. The place was a “plain-Jane” very boring and very ordinary. I was with a party of 4 and we were the only people there during our dinner. Not one other table was being used and no one was even at the bar. Knowing now what I know would have never went there. The dinner atmosphere was nothing. We kept asking ourselves “why are we the only ones here” Would never go back!!

I specifically chose this place because the online entree menu BUT it's no longer available in restaurant. The Bruscetta was cold instead of room temp. It was an okay experience, but not an Italian feel to it what so ever.

This is a hotel restaurant. They only had one waiter on duty for the entire restaurant. Not worth the time, money, or effort.

I thought this new location was really nice. You dont feel as cramped or as close and comfy as the old location. The food was good but in my opinion something seems different. It just wasn't as good as the past. And i may be wrong but i think the menu has changed. There are some items removed.
