The Beer Merchants Tap is a craft beer bar and bottleshop in Hackney Wick, East London.

We have 20 keg taps, 2 cask pumps and as the physical extension of our site Beermerchants.com, over 500 bottles/cans from the world’s best breweries. We also serve toasties, cheese and meat platters from artisan producers and will soon make our own lambic-style Belgian sour beers in our blendery, the first of its kind in the UK.

We’re open 7 days per week, and serve filter coffees and a selection of Canton teas if you’re not quite ready for a beer.

NOTE: We reserve half of our tables for walk-ins so, if you cannot get a booking the best thing to do is to just pay us a visit and we will do our best to accomodate you.

    Celebrated my birthday there and I liked it! Beer is nice, location is perfect, food is okay (wanted to see more), and atmosphere is amazing!

    We didn’t have any food only drinks. Service was very slow and staff were not particularly helpful. Had to go into get any attention and order drinks which is against Covid protocol.

    First drink since lock-down with mates - I must admit, I got a bit emotional: I declared my undying one and only love for my first pint, an exquisitely poured pint of Paulaner, then cheered on my mates around the table, then happily left a tab. This is seriously one of those rare gems where us beer connoisseurs get our buck’s worth 👍 Many thanks to Floris, the sweet Dutch one/owner 🙏🤘 You rock, we’ll be back! Hal
