   My husband and I really enjoyed beach club today for lunch. Granted, we’re from DC where restaurants tend to be expensive, but we thought it was reasonably priced. We got tuna tartare (excellent), frita carnita, and the pork stew and it was all fantastic. The ambiance was lovely. Very large portions so just a few appetizers may be plenty for two!

   We were very excited about dining at this restaurant as I had just read about it in Travel and Leisure. When we arrived for our 7:30 pm Saturday reservations there were two other tables. About 30 tables were unoccupied. We were placed at a two top by the windows. It was raining and dark outside, but you could still see the fountains. Then 45 minutes later, when it was just us and one other table, they sat a large party of about 20 right next to us. That was our cue it was time to leave. Service was very lethargic, no enthusiasm. The staff of 4-5 were busy talking and folding napkins. I asked about any specials as there were a couple of items listed but then had to ask individually (what is the soup, what is the fish, etc.) Not a lot of follow up. Menu was limited, not a lot of options. Food was ok, nothing I would order again. Certainly priced higher than I would expect for the ambiance and service. This really seemed like an overpriced lunch spot after the beach or golf, not a good evening dining from the St Regis.

   Beach Club is the perfect location to enjoy the cool breezes and beautiful beach scene while dining on fresh, delicious island cuisine. My husband I I enjoyed a delightful lunch of tuna tartare , shrimp and mofongo. The service is exceptional and our server Roberto was knowledgeable and engaging and contributed to our enjoyment. I strongly recommend you try Beach Club.

    Average food. High prices. Shocked at the experience since one of the best chefs in PR attached his name to it.
