   The layout for the buffet left much to be desired. We overheard employees talking about the last minute event that made an adjustment to the $50 a plate Easter meal. Food options were good, ham and beef carving stations nice, many warming trays at 2pm were very low or almost empty. The tiny hallway to run the entire 200 person crowd while at the same time trying to bring in more guests was poorly arranged and not very comfortable. Desert options were good and the location of the restaurant is great. Just overall, a let down for a very expensive buffet. An automatic 25% gratuity put on top of the tab for a buffet with very little service required is unacceptable as well. We readily would tip for your very nice staff, but that was really going to far. Just noticed the promo for the Mother’s day buffet, count us out for that one, I’ll get much more for my $250 elsewhere.

   Food was good overall. Dessert was clearly straight from GFS. Server was very inattentive and clearly not trained in details. They are trying to be a higher end establishment with the pricing and menu options, but the large screen TVs with sports reflect a sports bar - not a Saturday date night destination. $130 for 2 people without alcohol and I expect more.

   Was very impressed with the ambiance and the hostesses that seated us. Sat for 5 minutes before anyone came to our table and brought us water, was not our waitress. She came a few minutes after and took our drink order and we placed our appetizer order. The trio of dips was good. We asked about the prime rib size as it’s not in the menu and the waitress did not know. Ordered that with salads and got our prime first then salads. Salads were good, potatoes good, beans mediocre, prime good. But by the time I got done eating my salad the prime wasn’t very warm. Waitress came to our table once to check our food, didn’t refill waters or pop. Was nice once but not sure we’d go back for the price. Wanted the perch but was told it was heavily battered. Overall rating a high 3!

   The meals served to us were outstanding and the service personnel were equally outstanding.

   My wife and I both had the fish and chips. We were seated near the windows. We enjoyed our meals while being warmed by the fireplace and looking out over the frozen snow-covered lake. We finished by sharing a piece of vanilla bean cheesecake drizzled with chocolate. All in all it was a most relaxing and enjoyable evening.

   Our 1st time here, but we will be back. It is a very nice atmosphere, great food and service. We had the meatballs as an app and they were delicious. The menu has a selection of sandwiches to nicer entrees. We even had the proprietor come over and speak with us with his cute little granddaughter.

    We couldn't have asked for a better meal or experience. Our server Jess was the nicest and very attentive. We enjoyed the salmon and the walleye dinners with a side of zuppa toscana and broccolini. For dessert we shared a brownie half of Sunday. The fish dinners were incredible. The sweet corn risotto with the walleye was incredible! The ambiance here was perfect with the fireplace and hey musician playing an acoustic guitar in the background. The service is always top-notch. Their customer service is perfect and all of their team members work well together. We couldn't have asked for a better experience. We cannot wait to go back!
