   The music they play is horrible (punk) and so loud you hardly can have a conversation. They are very friendly when you ask to lower the volume and/or change the music but the result is not much better. It's a pity because the food is to die for and the service is very friendly

   Have had some of the best meals in Brooklyn there. Nice ambiance, easy to talk at dinner and great, attentive service.

   Went there with a reservation, which requires ordering the 5- or 7-course meal. (This may not be required for walk-ins.) The 5-course meal was excellent, and the portions were perfect. The cocktails and wine were delicious and the staff very kind. The ambiance is special, with beautiful lighting. Enjoy.

   Nice set menu for Valentine's day. You will spend $$$ but its a true fine-dining place in Brooklyn that is worth a visit. Wine list had good options in the $50 range. Dishes were creative and ingredients were all top quality, the lamb especially.

   Was excited about Battersby and have been there before. Since my first few visits, food has declined. Service is ok. My stomach did not agree with the last meal i had here, wont be returning.

   I have enjoyed previous experiences with Battersby, but was disappointed with my latest experience. I made a reservation more than two months ago for a group of 4 and obviously was looking forward to a special meal. When we arrived, we were shown to a table stuck in the back of the restaurant in a hallway that leads from the kitchen to the garden (not in use at this time), with the table pushed against a wall. The set-up was incredibly cramped (the server could not even reach my seat to serve me). Of our four seats, two faced each other whereas two were seated side-by-side facing the wall. While the service from most of the servers was good, one server dropped silverware on my step-dad (actually hurting him!) and didn't even apologize. Overall, while the food is generally good, the service and whole experience was very disappointing. I'm really going to think hard about going back the next time.

   Third time there om Friday, and it has been a real hit every time. The food is clearly carefully and expertly prepared and the quality is top notch. The place is small, but has a very down to earth and relaxed yet professional athmosphere. Love the place and would highly recommend for any date or just to go for a real treat with friends.

   Battersby continues to deliver outstanding food served in an intimate, spare commercial Brooklyn storefront. The kitchen, bar, and eating area is together in one space but they somehow still manage to create a comfortable, warm, and enjoyable experience with a very high level of craft (cooking craft). Service is always warm. Get the tasting menu (as it enables you to get a reservation). The flat bread could be reason enough to go, but is easily eclipsed by the creative and continually changing menu.

   We had not visited Battersby in a about a year and I had forgotten what a delight it is. Great meal. I wish that I lived across the street.

    The service was good, the only thing is that the the food is a little overpriced. It was very nice of them accommodating earlier, as the weather was bad, but still very busy. The 4 tables to the right as one enters is a little to close to each other, as one can hear each other conversation. For the price, they should have removed one of the tables (just a suggestion), as it's also to close to the bar. The persons sitting at the inside corner will have to squeeze by carefully and not knocking over the table's drink etc.
