   Everything was great. Just a little more expensive than I had predicted. Food was great. Ambience and service was excellent .

   Very disappointed in this restaurant. It's very nice with great views but that's about it. Most cocktails weren't good. The appetizers were ok but the entrees were very disappointing. Wouldn't come back here.

   The only thing saving this place was the view. Hostess was downright rude and made is feel unwelcome. We brought birthday cake and upon her seeing it first scolded us and told us of the per slice serving fee. Fee wasn't the problem, the delivery of the message was. Then, to make matters worse, made us witness her opening the box so if the cake was damaged in transit in any way, it would be our fault. Moving on to food, pastas were ok, pork chop good and steak flavorless. Waiter better than hostess but cocktails took forever and wife asked for "very cold" cosmo and he clearly dodnt check that it was room temp. Cold hostess and warm drink to start was hard to come back from. So frustrating when a nice place is ruined by unwelcoming service.

   Went to batello for a special occasion Javier was our server, he was outstanding! everything was lovely overall. will definitely be back

   The food is delicious and has creative flair - grilled peaches and burrata, beets with goat cheese , gnocchi, and pancetta wrapped scallops. All excellent. Desert did not disappoint either croissant crisps and chocolate cake with coconut ice cream, both exceptionally fresh and flavorful. And the cocktails are special too -Misunderstood ginger whiskey with matcha tea...yes please! Service was attentive. Just had to wait a little long for a couple of requests, like a glass of ice and a taste of wine that we wanted to purchase a bottle of. So that our appetizers arrived before our wine. But they held back dinner a bit to accommodate us. The views of NYC are spectacular, but the dock is "closed for maintenance" which should be shared with the customer at reservation time since this is definitely part of the reason you come to Battello.

   Wonderful food, cocktails, service and atmosphere. The marina pier location with a view of lower Manhattan, the open dining space, high ceilings and cozy seating are fantastic- Add-on to this, the seasonal menu with fresh ingredients was flavorful, imaginative and beautifully presented. Last but not least, the service was informative, friendly and attentive. I highly recommend this restaurant-

   We had a work party here in their back private space before it shut down for renovation. The food was great and everyone enjoyed the party, but my only complaint is the private room has no water views. Other than that the it was a great time. I especially enjoyed the passed chicken and waffles appetizer and the nice selection of meat and cheeses they had on display. I would visit Batellos again in the future, especially considering the lack of "upscale" lunch spots in the Newport Jersey City area.

    Been there a few times and usually Awesome! Maybe they were having an off night but we will be back.
