   Exceeded our expectations. Recommended by a friend (chef) and we were intrigued by the history as Christmas Story is one of our favorite movies. So the movie connection was fun ... but the food and the wait staff were fantastic. Americans on holiday celebrating many wedded years were afforded consistent attention, guidance and warm courtesy. Every suggestion and dish was beyond what was described and we were treated as favorite customers. Also the "energetic" atmosphere was not distracting for these two NYC'ers, and the patrons at the surrounding tables were joyful and friendly. The waiter, my guess manager, was patient and the perfect humor for us. Highest recommendation as we will be back each visit to beautiful Toronto.

   Food was very tasty, well presented and on time. Service was very good, it was not busy though.

   One of the best dining experiences I've had in a long time. The food was fantastic from the appetizers to the desserts and our waiter was attentive, knowledgeable and caring. A great place

   We enjoyed a celebratory dinner with a bottle of excellent white Cote de Rhone. Starters were skipped, and we had three dishes: A delicious " Bourride of Seafood and Fish" which was a take on a bouillabase, a very well loved Duck Two Ways, which was a confit leg and roasted breast of duck, and finally a Flat iron steak, which looked quite delicious, although a bit petite. The claimant of the last dish wished he had ordered the duck although he complimented the steak.. Chef and owner Pascal took the time to come to our table and introduce himself. Restaurant is unpretentious but well decorated, cozy. I found the music a bit loud, my friends thought it to be at good volume. Quality of both ingredients and preparation are high. I will r

   My wife and I try a lot of Toronto restaurants and this is one of the few we enjoy going back to. Cozy atmosphere with great food. Sadly, we've moved away from the city and are long overdue for a visit.

   we enjoy the food it was different in taste presentation and overall experience the wine choices were perfect the chef comes and says hi very classy. I would really encourage the people who enjoy French Cusine to try this Diamond in China Town

   What a delight that most of the menu was available GF. The service was great. We were unsure of the wine so they let us have a sample of it first. The food was luxurious.

   This is my favourite restaurant in the city, and I try a lot of them. Food, ambience, staff - it just all comes together.

   From when I walked in the door, I found that the young hostess/waitress was not experienced in her work. Instead of escorting my wife to the reserved table, the waitress went to the table, and then looked at us standing at the door as if to say "over here". We sat down, and then the waiter, equally inexperienced, began pouring sparkling water for us (we did not ask for sparkling water, nor do we like it). I ordered a particular bottle of wine, only to find at the end of the night that on the bill I was charged for another bottle of wine I had not ordered. In fact, not once did the waitress or waiter come by to serve my wife some wine from the bottle during our entire evening. The food is exceptional, however the service somewhat ruins what could be a truly special experience. The two go hand in hand. The all French wine list starts at $40 a bottle. Try the salad with pork belly as well as the duck 2 ways. Truly wonderful flavours that will bring you back to the charms of Europe.

    A delicious meal and lovely setting, a real find! The seafood stew and the cassoulet were equally amazing - surprisingly rich, spicy, and very satisfying. And the poached pear dessert was spectacular.
