   We booked for Sunday lunch and it was really lovely. The beef was well cooked and tender. The staff were lovely. As we were staying at the hotel this meal started off our stay in great style.

   We had expected a Christmas menu but were given the usual one. On asking, however, the staff went away and said we could have one, as there was a large table next door having a full seasonal lunch. All was verty good, thanks. But there weren't manh other guests (just a table for 2 in addition to us, so the atmosphere was quiet.

   Lovely food, wonderful staff. No one else dining which was a shame as this affected the ambience. However we had a fantastic lunch.

   Four of us had a lovely meal for a joint 90th birthday celebration really good food and happy to adapt a couple if meals for us Would definitely go back

   Unfortunately we didn’t have the best experience Room was tired They forgot my husbands starter Then ignored us at breakfast, we actually left and had breakfast in the Village with very good service

   Amazing food. Great service. It was our 10th wedding anniversary and it didn't disappoint. Thank you, Bartley Lodge. Will definitely visit again

   Lovely setting and very good food and service. Few other people in the restaurant, which is a shame as this is a lovely venue.

    We are 3 ladies. My friend chose this pace to celebrate her 40th birthday. We were expecting greater things. I ordered the chicken schnitzel but was told at ordering it wasn’t available. I opted for ham egg and chips. When it arrived I requested ketchup. The waitress came back 5 minutes later stating they were out of this. Not a massive issue but would have been told when being handed the menus that there were certain foods not available. We must have picked an off night as the restaurant was empty. The grounds looked nice though and we were given a choice of where to sit. When we requested the card machine it was just placed on the table and the waiter left. There is an automatic 10% service charge which I wouldn’t have paid as the service was lacking in attentiveness, knowledge and general customer service. They weren’t rude, the waitress just looked like she would rather be anywhere else. I feel I would give this another try as the food itself was good and average price for a hotel in the forest. Maybe we picked a bad night.
