A privately owned 175 seat restaurant with cocktail lounge and bar serving Mediterranean inspired food, Bartellas is a favourite of the charming village of Meopham. Elegantly appointed in wood and sisal, clean lines and contemporary furnishings, Bartellas offers comfortable and attractive surroundings plus excellent continental service including those little touches of linen napkins, predominately round tables, complimentary still and sparkling water and bread. The recent orangery extension and private dining salon upstairs for a maximum of 24 at one table ensures that whatever the occasion, Bartellas can cater for your dining and party needs. A regular changing a la carte menu, a Sunday menu with all the traditional roasts and the prix-fixe menu available Monday to Saturday lunchtimes and early evenings Monday to Friday offer great value for money- £10.55 for one course including a 175ml glass of wine, small beer or soft drink.

    I was impressed with the presentation of the premises when I walked in. The tables were set out so beautifully, it looked like a wedding reception (nice venue for one). The food was pleasant but it is the value for money that attracted be and the atmosphere I would go back for. My friend and I could chat for hours without feeling rushed or over heard.

    I really like Bartellas, the atmosphere and staff are always welcoming and polite. This was my third visit but the first time I have visited on a Sunday. I was very impressed with the Sunday roast, especially as it is part of their Sunday menu, meaning that even at 6pm I could order this. The staff are also knowledgeable about what is on offer, and our waitress was able to recommend a better Chilean Merlot than we had originally picked. We all had a very pleasant evening.

    Friendly attentive staff, good service and excellent menu. Good variety and different from usual everyday menus. Can be a little noisy when busy.

    A fantastic 1 or 2 or 3 course choice with wine for diners seated by 7pm. Good food and service - thoroughly enjoyable.

    Met friends for our quarterly get together. met for lunch at 1 and were the l;ast to leave, but felt no pressure from the staff. Four of us had the 3 course set lunch with wine and pre dinner drinks. We got lovely service, an excellent lunch and change from £40 per couple ! will go again....;-))

    Had a lovey birthday lunch. Staff very attentative. We all chose the set price lunch menu. The steak burger with chips and salad was very good value for money. Glass of wine was served just how I like it - nice and cold and crisp. would definately go there again for dinner

    Have been to Bartellas, Meopham several times now, but this was the first time for Sunday Lunch. Excellent food with several different roast meat options - our party had the beef, pork and chicken, all of which were cooked to perfection. The trimmings were also very good and amazingly they also offer extensive regular menu options if a roast is not to your taste. Service was good considering the restaurant was fully booked and puddings were wonderful! Will definitely be back.

    We go to Bartellas quite often but the food this time was not quite up to standard. The new extension is stylish and service remains good.

    Myself and four friends visited Bartellas in Meopham and were all extremely impressed with the service and the food. We were greeted at the door and made to feel relaxed and welcome. My only gripe would be the red wine is rather expensive at £5+ a glass.However,we will definitely be visiting Bartellas again.
