   This was my second trip and I was very excited to introduce a new place to my inner circle. I raved about the Brussels sprouts which were amazing and tried the Bleu cheese chips also incredible. Where the meal fell short was in variety for kids. No tenders which would have been a great help and my Gnocchi was terrible. Dry and very difficult to eat . My wife had the shrimp meal which I recommended from my last visit. She was impressed and I’m glad. They need more menu options and to replace the gnocchi for sure. Besides that for the environment I’ll come back again and the appetizers are great.

   Food and service are always exceptional! One of our favorite places to eat in Denton!

   Food is delish, the service is outstanding, and the place and decor are unique! Really recommend and already want to come back to try all the menu.

   Loud environment. Not able to hold a good conversation across the table. Staff was great. Food was ok for the price.

   Ehhhh for a date night not the best place for us. We sort of got forgotten and then it was just downhill from there. Food was good, but that’s about it. Sorry guys. We will stay in Flower Mound and not attempt to drive through all the Denton potholes just for this place.

   Thankfully Barley & Board continues to provide excellent service and quality food. Our reservation was for 830 but we were able to be seated early (and the noise level wasn't as loud). The hits for the evening were the gnocchi and the burger!

   Terrific downtown location, excellent food. Parking a little challenging but worth the effort

   A most unfortunate evening. The Host/Manager spilled a class of wine on my husband and me accidentally. They brought over lots of napkins and said at least it was white wine. Surprisingly there was nothing offered to my husband and me to make up for this. There was no offer to reimburse me for our dry cleaning (for my husband: camel hair blazer, cashmere vest, jeans and shirt and me: trousers, sweater and camel hair cape) or comp dinner or dessert as it would have been much appreciated. Instead I had to “tell” the waitress very nicely that at a minimum they should comp my wine. The waitress was lovely however the host/manager avoided us the plague since he was embarrassed. To date this has been my only unpleasant experience at Barley & Board and as such I plan to be back with 6 colleagues for dinner on Monday 3/16. I am counting on a better experience.

    We regular this place for a reason. Consistently great food, service is always wonderful and love the atmosphere.
