   We have been wanting to try Barbette for a couple of years so my birthday was a good time to try. My husbands roasted chicken was delicious. My steak frites sat up at the pass for over 6 minutes waiting for his chicken to be done. Matt, our waiter noticed that too and when I mentioned it, he immediately said we wouldn’t be paying for the entree. I tasted the steak and it was perfectly cooked, albeit a bit cooled off. so he swapped out my cold fries for some delicious hot fries and all was good. We insisted on paying for the entree as all issues were rectified but Matt would not put the entree back on the bill. His service alone will bring us back and we tipped him based on our full bill. Great customer service Matt!!

   We had a terrible experience at Barbette; any other time I have dined there it has been great. It took 20 minutes to get a server to our table once we sat down, even after we asked about it twice. 35 minutes later, we got our first appetizers, and there was a giant bone in the pate for which the chef apologized for disingenuously. 40 minutes after that we received our entrees and my coworkers steak was significantly overcooked. They comped our drinks, which was two waters and a cocktail, and didn’t charge us for the steak (nor should they have) but all in all it was very evident that nobody cared that it was an extremely unenjoyable dining experience for us. I recommend not going to this restaurant.

   Great atmosphere, service, and food - we were visiting the area, and I searched for brunch recommendations. There is a reason that this place falls at the top of the list.
